February 14.  The Lord sent us a heavy rain last night and an even heavier rain this evening.  The world is very wet again.

After breakfast and quiet time this morning, I turned on the computer to get some e-mails ready to send.  However, at that time, Erisapet came to the door and wanted to talk.  She has been pondering over the things she has been learning and things she has been hearing from others and wanted to know for sure if she is saved or not.  She was not saved at the same time as the others, but was saved later on an individual basis.  She said that she did understand at that time that she needed to repent of her sins and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, even though she too was taught that repentance meant naming her sins.  But she still felt that she had trusted in the cross of Christ for her salvation.  She doesn’t always live as she should and has a problem with anger, especially toward her children and husband.  She did say, however, that she senses conviction of sin when she has done wrong, and she makes it right.  I told her that I don’t know her heart, and I can’t tell her if she is saved or not.  Only God knows for sure, and she would know more than I would.  Told her I can give her some Scriptures to study through to help her know if she is saved and to find assurance of salvation if she is truly saved.  She needs to base her salvation entirely on the Word of God and not her feelings or what others say or think.  She is to come back later with her Gospel and epistles of John, and I will highlight some verses for her.

By the time she left, it was a little bit past 8:30, and the students were waiting outside.    I called them in, and we started school.  The boys had Owena class today.  Bonita didn’t want to join them so I let her work, picking the pieces of corn off the cobs.  She finished that before the boys were done with Owena class so I let her start writing her numbers in her 1,000 book.

After recess, we had math class, and then finished up the English lesson that we didn’t finish yesterday.  It was about 12:15 when school was done.  Had them clean things up and put them away.  Then I let Bonita go home, and the boys stayed and husked uxai for me and then shelled the peanuts.  When they were done with those two jobs, they took the pipia (trash) out to the garbage hole.  Then Daddy had them put the ooqdi under the house before they went home.

I put the uxai in the pressure cooker and put it on to cook.  Then I put our dinner on to warm.  After dinner and nap, there was more work to do in the kitchen.  There was a popo that needed to be cut up and greens to sort, wash, and get ready to be cooked.  After that, I had a little time to sit down, and I made sure things are ready for classes tomorrow.  (We will only have two classes since there is lotu in the morning.)  Also got the holes punched in the new soul-winning lesson papers.

After supper, I put away the uxai so I could use the pressure cooker for the greens.  Got the greens on to cook and then did dishes.  Used the dirty dish water to clean the kitchen floor in front of the stove and cupboards where it was quite dirty.  Was thankful for the nice new mop, and also that I was able to get up most of the rat glue that was stuck on the floor near the stove.

The next job was to finish folding the clothes.  Daddy had folded about half of them yesterday.  I got the sheets folded and put away this morning.  Then this evening, I folded what was left and put them away.  Put a border on the salvation poster (it’s on white board) that we want to hang up in the meeting room.  However, I discovered that the poster is too long to set up the way it is so will need to take the pages off that I had stapled onto the white board and turn the white board landscape direction.  That job will wait until tomorrow.

Daddy got lumber cut today for the guest bedroom doorway and got that nailed on.  It took him quite a while to cut 2 inches off the side of the door frame pieces.  They were too wide.  He also drilled holes in the communion cup tray that he is making.  He did some studying as well.

“4And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: 5That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.  6Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought: 7But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory.”  I Corinthians 2:4-7

February 16.  God continues to work and to bless His Word.  The OBC people have looked at the notice our church members put out to invite the community to their baptism, and they are saying that we and the GIBC (Glory Independent Baptist Church) people are longlong (crazy).  That’s what people said about Apostle Paul and the preaching of the cross too.  They also say that we are starting a new mission.  Praise God that we are longlong!
