June 21. Not as cold this morning and more clouds, but also some sunshine and no rain.
I got the monthly update written before lotu started. The update is late this month because of all that had been happening the past couple weeks, along with it being the end of the school term, which is always extra busy. I am glad to have that done, and hope to get all those sent out this evening and tomorrow.
Daddy was supposed to preach this morning in place of Matthew who wasn’t feeling well. However, Daddy woke up not feeling well, and was too weak to preach. He went back to bed and slept a good part of the morning. It ended up that David did the preaching, starting in Genesis 6 and talking about the wickedness of this world and the need for us to preach the Gospel and give people the opportunity to be saved. Matthew was actually feeling a little better later in the morning and preached the second meeting, continuing the series he has been doing on Wednesdays on “Knowing the Will of God.”
This afternoon, I got all the pictures transferred from the camera to the computer, then edited and resized. Played the keyboard a while until time to fix supper.
After supper, I printed out a copy of the update so we could proofread it better. Then I got the update file ready to send to Christy for printing and mailing.
“ And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ.” Acts 5:42
June 22. Raining when we got up this morning and was foggy and drizzly until mid-morning. It was nice not to have to rush and get ready for school.
George came early to cut firewood. After breakfast and quiet time, I got the clothes sorted out, and then we started the laundry. We weren’t sure whether to hang them inside or outside, but finally decided we would try outside. It was misting when we first went out, but the fog was lifting and clouds were breaking up and there were blue patches. It felt good to get outside, and the clothes smell a lot fresher when they have hung out in the fresh air.
When that job was done, I finished acknowledging those who had sent support this month. Sent those e-mails off, and then Daddy got down my suitcase, and I went through things in it. Daddy had gone through his on Saturday. His was full, but mine had only a few items in it. We sorted into things to sell, things to pack in drums, and things to take traveling.
Went out and got a few clothes in before lunch because it looked like it might rain. Not very many things were dry, but only a few sprinkles fell so more of the clothes were dry by the time we finished dinner, which was warmed-over rice and carrots. Had to hang a few things in the guest room to finish drying.
This afternoon, I got the rest of the ministry update e-mails ready to send, and Daddy sent those out. This evening, I have been working on the next section of Bible notes for school Bible class.
“And the word of God increased; and the number of the disciples multiplied in Jerusalem greatly….” Acts 6:7
