December 13. Very warm again today, with sunshine this morning and clouds this afternoon. We were thankful for the cool breeze that came up later in the day.
Lotu started at a good time this morning. Mike continued the series on the family, talking about our children being a gift from God.
After lotu, Sosthenes chopped up some kindlin’ for Daddy. A few other people hung around for various reasons. Sunny and Apekio swept the meeting room. I washed the dishes and then made tortillas for my lunches. Did some sawing, drilling, and screwing for the cabinet addition.
Daddy wasn’t feeling quite strong enough when he got up to go to lotu, but he seemed to gain more strength as the day went by. I am thankful that he is doing better.
(Dad had been quite sick with the flu.)
This afternoon, I washed my hair before getting the rest of the update e-mails ready to send. Then I prepared carrots and broccoli for our supper veggie and some chicken to go with the rice I had cooked yesterday.
After supper, while Daddy was napping, I sat and relaxed and crocheted for a while. Then I started printing out the Galatians through Colossians booklets to give out tomorrow in lotu, until the toner ran out. Then I had to stop and replace the toner. I did let the printer then finish up what hadn’t gotten done, but now I need to do the rest of the printing.
“And Jesus, when he came out, saw much people, and was moved with compassion toward them, because they were as sheep not having a shepherd: and he began to teach them many things.” Mark 6:34
December 14. Didn’t get as warm today and is quite chilly this evening. The morning was super busy, and tiring. Made pancakes for Daddy. Also had to make syrup. Made muffins for myself and also made granola so I could use the oven for two things at once. Then there were LOTS of dishes to do. Doing dishes in the morning is not a good idea. It just means too much time at once on my feet. No time to do much else this morning, except that I did get the rest of the Galatians booklets stapled.
Daddy has been running a fever again today and has been in bed most of the day.
Lotu started late this morning. There were a good number here. Matthew did specialized teaching this morning. At the end of the meeting, he gave announcements. One was that there would be a baptism during the New Year meetings.
In the afternoon meeting, Matthew went back to preaching from Galatians.
After the meeting this afternoon, I worked on a Bible school lesson until almost supper time. Daddy didn’t eat anything this evening - just had a cup of bouillion. I relaxed and crocheted for a while after supper.
“And when he had sent them away, he departed into a mountain to pray.” Mark 6:46
