May 3. No rain so far today. Very humid though so it has felt hot. Praise the Lord for sunshine to dry the clothes.
Got up early and hung the clothes. Then had breakfast and quiet time before lotu. Tomas continued his teaching this morning on “Knowing the Will of God.” Today he taught on Proverbs 3:5,6. There were lots of prayer requests, and it was close to 9:00 before lotu finished.
After lotu, I made myself a cup of cappuccino (of a sort). Then I practiced keyboard a little while before sitting down to write a couple e-mails. By the time I finished with those and got them sent off, it was close to 11:00. We went outside for a stretch, but did not go anywhere since it was quite wet after the hard rain last night. After we came inside, I swept the office and kitchen floors to get them ready to wash later on. Then we had lunch and nap.
This afternoon, I put the finishing touches on the Bible school lessons I was revising to be ready for coming classes for Wilson, and later for the other students. Then I worked on the April progress report until my brain got tired. Took a stretch and exercise break before getting supper on the table.
There weren’t very many dishes this evening so when they were done, I used the warm dishwater to wash the floor. Daddy helped me dry it. I am happy to have that floor clean again.
Practiced keyboard again after the generator got turned on. Now Matthew is here for discipleship class, waiting on people to come. There are just a handful here so far.
“15Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. 17And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.” I John 2:15-17
May 4. A mostly cloudy and drizzly day until late this afternoon when there was a little sunshine. People were VERY late for lotu. It was after 10:30 before we even got started, and some people didn’t show up until 11:30. I’m sorry they missed out on most of the blessings.
After the songs, there were a number of announcements. Then Matthew preached from the first five verses of II Corinthians 9 and did a really good job with some good applications. David [in his] preaching today talked about how the believer needs to abide in Christ in order to bear fruit.
Between meetings, we had lunch, and I had a nap. It was late when the afternoon meeting finished. I had time to write just one e-mail. Then I had to start making supper. Daddy cut up the rest of the pumpkin for me. I peeled it and diced it up into the pressure cooker. Peeled and washed potatoes and diced them up, and also a couple onions. Added bouillion, herbs and spices, and plenty of water; and we enjoyed a nice soup for supper.
“And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life.” I John 2:25
