February 27. It was a rainy morning and after 7:30 before lotu started. David preached this morning on prayer - where to pray, how long to pray.
In the middle of English class, toward the end of the school morning, my vision started acting strange. I knew I was going to get a migraine headache. I hurried off to the kitchen and grabbed a handful of almonds. Within a short time, the vision had cleared up and then the headache came. I was glad school was almost over so we could have dinner and then nap.
However, right after school Graham wanted to say his Bible verses. So I sat down with him and listened to his Bible verses. I didn’t realize Bethuel was there too, waiting to say his verses. So I listened to his verses also. They both did well and received their prizes. Then I noticed that Sunny was still here, laboring over her math lesson. So I went and helped her a few minutes. Finally got dinner on to warm about 12:50, and it was after 1:30 before we got to nap.
After nap, there were papers to grade, grades to record, and things to get ready for school tomorrow. At 4:30, I went to the kitchen to make cookies for Lew and then make supper.
Just before we sat down for supper, Phinehas and Dallas came to practice keyboard. After supper and dishes, I practiced keyboard for a while too until time for Bible school. Now the men are here having Bible school with Lewis.
“Jesus saith unto him, Go thy way; thy son liveth. And the man believed the word that Jesus had spoken unto him, and he went his way.” John 4:50
February 28. Last day of February and just a couple hours left. It is going on 9:30 p.m. now. I just finished writing next week’s lesson plans for school. I needed to get them all done today so I can start printing tomorrow evening when the generator is on. I still need to finish the soul-winniing lesson because that has to be printed out tomorrow.
It was raining a bit when we went to bed last night, and shortly after we went to bed, the wind started blowing. It got stronger and stronger as the night went on and blew strong all day today. There was no sun today at all, and the temperature never got above 65. The cold winds blew into the house over the south walls. I didn’t feel very cold during school, but the schoolroom is on the north side of the house. As soon as I came back into the main part of the house, however, I felt quite cold, especially in the kitchen.
Before school this morning, I spent more time on the soul-winning lesson. After school, Sosthenes and Bonita stayed to say their Bible verses so again we were late eating lunch and getting to nap. I sat in the office to eat my lunch as it is warmer here. There is a wall between here and our bedroom that blocks the cold south wind. It was cold in our bedroom when we went to nap so I put on a couple covers.
Daddy kept the home fires burning all day, and even then it was cold in here. I had my sweatshirt on for part of the afternoon. When I came in here after school, I thought Daddy had let the fire go out, it was so cold. But he hadn’t. I just couldn’t feel the heat.
Just had a little bit of grading left to do after nap, and the rest of the afternoon was spent working on next week’s lesson plans. Also took a little time out to prepare pumpkin for supper, after Daddy cut it up, and answer the door a time or two, and then warm up the rest of supper.
Right after doing dishes, I took a quick bath. Then got down to business with lesson plans again. Took a little time out about 8:30 to get a snack.
Now we hear the sound of rain.
“So the father knew that it was at the same hour, in the which Jesus said unto him, Thy son liveth: and himself believed, and his whole house.” John 4:53 Compare I John 5:13, “These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.”
