November 21. Praise the Lord for bringing us safely home. Arrived back home around 2:00 this afternoon. Not long after the plane took off to return to Aiyura, a big wind storm came up with thunder, lightning, rain. We thought we were going to get a big rain, but it didn’t rain long.
We got up early this morning, finished packing, had breakfast, and were off to the hangar around 8:30. We hadn’t been there long when they told us our flight had been changed and wouldn’t be until noon. So they took us back to the guest house where we sat and relaxed for a couple more hours. I did a little crocheting and a little snoozing. Okja gave us a banana and a cinnamon roll for snack. She sat and talked with us for a while.
It was after 11:30 before the hangar bus came back to get us. And after we got there, we waited and waited and waited. The plane did not come back for quite a while. Mike said they had a really busy day - all four planes plus the two helicopters coming and going all day long.
Our house was hot and stuffy when I came in so I opened everything up; but as soon as the storm started, the air began to cool down. Then we had to close things back up again because of the strong wind and rain.
We hadn’t had any lunch, so I opened a can of tuna, and we had some sandwiches. Then we had a very welcome nap. After nap, I made some pumpkin/potato/onion soup for supper. That was really all we needed after a late lunch.
Just finished doing the laundry and getting shirts and blouses hung up in the guest room. Daddy is teaching Bible school. After I rest a bit, I’ll need to do dishes.
“26But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister; 27And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant: 28Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.” Matthew 20:26-28
November 22. 7:15 p.m. The rains are here, but the Lord gave us a nice day.
After we got up and dressed this morning, we hung out the clothes that we washed yesterday evening. Then we had breakfast and quiet time. Then it was time for lotu. Tomas talked today about the Philippian jailor and Nicodemus, two other men who inquired about the way of salvation and were shown the way to come to God.
After lotu, I started sorting through the rest of the things in the drum that I had started on last Saturday morning. Around 10:00, Daddy and I went for a nice walk. After we came back, I finished sorting through the drum, getting rid of some things, setting a couple things aside to sell, and putting just a few things in another drum to be sent back to the US.
While I was getting lunch ready, Daddy went out and got the clothes. The Lord sent us just a little rain while we were eating, but the sun came back out afterward. We enjoyed a nice nap, and this afternoon, I got journal notes ready for C&C, sent e-mails to the rest of our supporters, and started on the next Bible school lesson for Wilson.
