September9. 8:30 p.m. Those who came to soul-winning class just left. The lessons are so good to help them see the lives of some of the Old Testament saints and how they were faithful to God in spite of hardships. They finished the lesson on Jacob and had some good discussions tonight.
This morning, I made pancakes for Daddy, but had some leftovers of my own. After breakfast and Bible reading, I tried walking and praying; but my knee wasn’t cooperating too well with the walking. So I sat and prayed instead.
Daddy cut up a pumpkin for me, and I put some on the wood stove to cook for dinner. Just had to warm it up later. There was too much for the pan so I put the rest in the freezer. There were also clothes to fold from yesterday. Then I finished the visual with the books of the New Testament which the students will be learning in school this week. After that, I finished getting the next student Bible lesson ready to print out.
The Lord answered prayer and gave us a nice day for the baptism and fellowship. Mike was late for lotu so Matthew took over the song leading. Mike was here in time to read the Scripture. Maura gave her salvation testimony, and I sang “A New Name in Glory.” Daddy preached on Colossians 4:5-9. Clouds did come up by the time the meeting was finished, and there was rain in the north and west. Strong winds came up too. But the Lord did not bring any rain here until later in the afternoon when the people were done with their fellowship time.
When the people went down for the baptism, Daddy and I had our dinner and then nap. After nap, I worked on getting things together for tomorrow’s classes. Made corrections in the soul-winning file for the next lesson they’ll be getting.
This evening, I did quite a bit of printing. Photo-copied some math worksheets. Printed out a coloring page for the kids to do in Bible class tomorrow or Tuesday. Printed out the next soul-winning lesson, got the copies collated and holes punched so it is ready for next week. Printed out the next Bible class lesson for school and got them collated and punched as well.
