March 29. Slept in a little later this morning, but only a few minutes after 6:00. Then I got up and made breakfast. Had quiet time and did some exercises. Marked and recorded grades from the schoolwork that Sunny and Graham corrected last night. Got the three students’ math lessons ready to put into their ring binders. Worked on the Bible school lesson outline.
There was a good number here for lotu this morning - quite a few visitors. We were happy to see Mak and Francis here. The church prays for them, and we pray for them in school as well. I believe the church’s Saturday evening meetings in homes are going to pay off in bringing more people to hear the Word who are hesitant to come here on Sundays. Matthew said there was a large group who came to the house meeting in Marivo last night.
This morning, Matthew preached on Galatians 6:7-10, Sowing and Reaping. It was a good message. The Gospel was included, and he gave an invitation, but no response. But the seed is sown, and there will be a time for reaping.
The second meeting was a business meeting. Before the meeting was over, the rain started pouring down, and there was thunder and lightning. So that closed the meeting for today. People hung around quite a while though until the rain slowed down. It is raining hard again this evening. This is the first hard rain we have had in some time, and we are thankful for a good rain.
There has been a lot of cool, damp, cloudy weather in Owena but not much rain. They have been thankful for more sunshine and for the rain.
Sera Obet brought us some nice tomatoes this morning. I was very grateful for that blessing.
This afternoon, I got an e-mail written to C&C, added this past week’s journal notes, and then Daddy sent it off to them. Then I finished up the Bible school lesson outline I’d been working on. Just need to add a few questions at the end for their homework.
This evening, Phinehas was here studying for a couple hours. He just borrowed an umbrella so he could go home. I did some grade averaging as I need to get the report cards ready for Friday. Took a bath. Then read Connie’s e-mail that came in this afternoon.
Daddy wasn’t feeling well today so did not have soul-winning class this evening. He wonders if he has bronchitis.
