July 14. It took a long time to get to sleep last night. I was too congested and uncomfortable. Finally got up and found a couple extra pillows so I could prop myself up and be able to breathe better. Didn’t feel like doing much today, and I feel really wiped out this evening.
The weather was very dry again today, but it was muggy when I was hanging out clothes this morning. We had about 10 drops of rain this afternoon.
Amos had charge of lotu this morning. He taught about the new creature and the old creature, using 2 Corinthians 5:17 and Romans 8:1 & 9. There was just a small group here this morning. Matthew and his family were over in Marivo where they have gardens to take care of.
After the meeting, Mike cut more firewood, and I did the laundry. I was glad there were only two loads today. Then I got math lesson plans made for this coming week (that was all I had left to do for lesson plans) before making potato soup for dinner.
By the time dinner was over, the winds were pretty strong so I let Daddy get the clothes in by himself while I cleaned up the kitchen. I didn’t dare go out in that wind.
Was thankful for a good rest at nap time. This afternoon, I made a popo crisp with the popo I found in the cupboard yesterday. It had gotten pushed to the back, and I didn’t see it so it was just a wee bit over-ripe. It did make a nice crisp, and I cooked some separately to go on my pancakes tomorrow. Then I cleaned the chalkboard before working on the students’ lesson for the next soul-winning lesson.
Then it was time for supper. There were only a few dishes tonight so that was a blessing. Between supper and doing dishes, I cleaned the bathtub so it would be ready for bath tonight.
After dishes, I did some scanning, some photo-copying, and some preparing of ministry updates to send out to supporters.
“36And others had trial of cruel mockings and scourgings, yea, moreover of bonds and imprisonment: 37They were stoned, they were sawn asunder, were tempted, were slain with the sword: they wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins; being destitute, afflicted, tormented; 38(Of whom the world was not worthy:) they wandered in deserts, and in mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth. 39And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise: 40God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect.” Hebrews 11:36-40
July 15. After making pancakes, eating breakfast, having quiet time, and walking this morning, I finished up the Bible verse visual for the new Bible verse for tomorrow. Then worked on making corrections in the soul-winning lesson and started making a power point presentation for the school kids with pictures taken during school.
There were a good number out for lotu this morning, the best attendance we’ve had in quite a while. Daddy covered Colossians 1:20-24 in the morning and finished the chapter in the second meeting. I was really wiped out from this cold and went down for nap after dinner so didn’t go to the afternoon meeting.
After nap, I got ministry update e-mails ready to go and then sent them out. Then I got everything together that I need for school tomorrow before getting supper.
“1Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, 2Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.” Hebrews 12:1,2
