We finished school a little before 12:00 today. We were able to go for nap early, but our sleep was interrupted when the strong winds came up. This afternoon, I made some orange paint and found a little red paint so the students can hopefully finish painting the fires tomorrow. I also started drawing some men bowed down so we can have them kneel before Nebyukatnesa’s god. I just didn’t feel at peace about having living men do it. Maybe tomorrow Phinehas and/or Steve will finish what I started. Then I finished proofreading the Bible lessons on application of Daniel 1-3 so I can make corrections and get the students’ copies printed out.
“14For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead: 15And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.” II Corinthians 5:14,15
October 15. Some sunshine this morning, and got really warm again around mid-morning. I opened the schoolroom door after we finished math class and the students were working on painting fire. (Maybe the fire made it warm. :-))
This afternoon, while we were napping, the rains came, and the air cooled down considerably. I graded the math worksheets and recorded grades. Only had two grades to record today - math textbooks and math worksheets. Then I got things ready for school tomorrow, had a snack, washed and cut up carrots to cook for supper, worked on the booklet for 1 Thessalonians through Philemon, and then made a pizza for supper so I could use up the leftover spaghetti sauce.
We forgot to put dish water on to heat so I played the keyboard a little while until the water was hot. Then I did dishes. That didn’t take long as there were only a few.
“ Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” II Corinthians 5:17
