Dry Days and Hard Workers

October 18.  Another very dry day.  Praise the Lord for nice weather and all those who worked!  They finished another outside wall, but didn’t have the big tape measure to measure it accurately and get it put up.  Eric has the tape measure, and he wasn’t home.

Did a bit more packing today, but there is not a whole lot more to do until tomorrow after we wash clothes and have the day’s meals.  Then we can get everything ready, except for what we’ll need Thursday morning.

About mid-morning, I went up with Daddy to the house.  Just needed something different to do. There wasn’t really a whole lot for me to do there.  Swept the kitchen floor.  Cleaned all the work supplies out of our bedroom.  Helped Daddy figure out how to place the kitchen cupboard.

Jonathan brought another pitpit wall today, and they got that put up.  Wenke finished one of Connie’s bedroom walls and got that up.  Then worked on a little piece for a small corner of the kitchen.  David and Andreas worked on getting our bathroom cupboard fixed up.  Wan and Wamara worked on the kitchen cupboard, and Wan made holes for water pipes.  Jastin dug ditches for the toilet pipe.  Amos said he was going to go get trees to cover the toilet hole (septic).  He still has a few more to get.  Hopefully he does that first thing in the morning.

At noon, Daddy and I came back down and had dinner.  Yujin came and carried water while we were eating.  This afternoon, Daddy worked on getting water pipes in.

“24Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.  25And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.  26But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.”  Mark 11:24-26

October 19.  Praise the Lord for another very lovely dry season-like day.  And for all those who worked today.  And for the Lord helping to get the septic done and the water pipes hooked up.  It is after 8:30 p.m. now.  It has been a long, long day for both of us.  I spent the day here packing, packing, and packing.  Well, I did do a few other things — laundry, quiet time, fixing meals, answering the door….  Daddy didn’t get home until around 6:00 this evening, and then he took time to get the solar panel down off the roof.  Lord willing, we will move up the hill in the morning.

“29And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: 30And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.  31And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.”  Mark 12:29-31
