December 7. Whew! It is after 9:30 already. Just finished planning lessons for next week. Haven’t had much time in class to grade papers or start lesson plans. They are learning a lot of new ways of doing things this year so need special attention to make sure they are doing things right.
It has been another dry day, but not as hot. The skies clouded up this afternoon, looking like rain, but only a few drops fell out of the sky. Not enough to get the ground wet. Daddy said that on the news they said that the Fly River is getting so low from lack of rain that they may have to close the Ok Tedi gold mine.
After reviewing our Bible lesson for the week, we started the music lesson in Bible class today. Only had time to cover the first section so the rest will be our first couple days’ lessons next week. I’ll have to make the lessons a little shorter next time. In phonics we reviewed the long vowel rules and practiced spelling words with long vowels. In English, they learned about the phrase.
The students went and picked coffee for Amos this afternoon. That was their work for the volley ball which Amos paid for.
Spent most of the afternoon after nap working on lesson plans as well as catching a drippy nose every few minutes. Continued with lesson plans this evening. Also Phinehas and Esau came for extra math drill.
