After breakfast and quiet time this morning, I swept the bedroom and office/kitchen floors. I don’t usually sweep because it causes trouble with my back. But Lewis isn’t here to sweep, and the floors really needed some attention.
Amos and Matthew did come to Phonics class today and paid for the new books. I was happy to have them join the other students.
I thank the Lord for his help in getting the October ministry update completed before supper. I was hoping this evening to get ahead on the soul-winning and Bible school outlines, but I can’t find the files to copy from to make the outlines. So after supper, I spent a while working on the PNG history/geography book. Then I took a bath, had a snack, and practiced keyboard. Now it is just about 9:00.
“3And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvellous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints. 4Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? for thou only art holy: for all nations shall come and worship before thee; for thy judgments are made manifest.” Revelation 15:3,4
October 8. Raining when I got up this morning, and thick fog everywhere. The Lord sent us some welcome sunshine later in the morning, and I enjoyed a few minutes of it at recess time.
Amos preached this morning on Acts 10:1-8.
There wasn’t a lot of grading left to do after school so I was able to get it finished before nap. After nap, I washed my hair, cleaned my brush and comb, cleaned the bathroom sink, got things ready for school tomorrow, and practiced keyboard. After supper, I cleaned the bathtub, read a little bit of the missionary biography of Hiram Bingham while dish water was heating, and then did dishes.
“For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.” Leviticus 17:11
