God blew with His wind, puff, puff, puff, puff;
God blew just enough, nough, nough, nough, nough;
All through the night the north wind blew
And dried the muddy path.
God has been good to Dad and Mom. For about a month, rain has fallen and made the ground in Owena very soft. The airstrip became soggy. Not much work could be done on the house. Dad and Mom could not even get down the path to go to church. In fact, the path became so bad that even the people would not walk down that path. It was very slippery.
But last Saturday night God sent a north wind. It blew all night. In the morning the path was dry. And Sunday was sunny, the first sunny day in a long time. Dad and Mom were excited. “Truly the light is sweet, and a pleasant thing it is for the eyes to behold the sun.” (Ecclesiastes 11:7)
In other good news, David was able to get back home. He got across the river on an inner tube. That is dangerous, but Mom says he has done it enough that he knows the safest places to cross.
Also, Dad and Mom send their love to everyone and their thanks for your prayers. Please keep praying. There are still many challenges in the work there. But we praise the Lord for these blessings that Dad and Mom have been able to experience in the past week or so.
