October 9. Rained moderately hard for at least an hour last night just as I was getting ready to go to bed. The Lord gave us a fair amount of sunshine today, and it has been warm. I was hoping to get out in the sunshine after nap this afternoon, but while I was getting ready to go out, clouds overshadowed the sun, and the cool winds began to blow. I did go out this evening for a while to burn the trash. There was no wind, but, of course, there was no sun either that time of day.
This afternoon, after cleaning the chalkboard, I started practicing keyboard. Then Tomas came and wanted some more verses for his message Saturday morning. That reminded me that I needed to make sure everything was ready for tomorrow’s classes before it got dark in the other room so I did that after he left. Then I started fixing my supper. While supper was cooking, I gathered up the trash to be burned, got out all the party things for Sunny’s birthday party tomorrow, and did some other cleaning up in the kitchen.
Shortly after supper, I heard a knock at the door and went to see who it was. There was my sunshine girl with a bunch of greens. I told her I loved her and that God had sent her to bring me some vegetables. I had not had any veggies for several days and had been praying for some. I thanked the Lord several times for showing His love to me and answering prayer. After that, I went out and burned the trash. Then I put water on to heat for bath and practiced keyboard some more while it was heating. After bath, I did up the few dishes that were dirty.
“2Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, I am the LORD your God. 3After the doings of the land of Egypt, wherein ye dwelt, shall ye not do: and after the doings of the land of Canaan, whither I bring you, shall ye not do: neither shall ye walk in their ordinances. 4Ye shall do my judgments, and keep mine ordinances, to walk therein: I am the LORD your God.” Leviticus 18:2-4
October 10. Busy this morning before school getting all the food ready for Sunny's party.
The students finished learning “Standing on the Promises” pretty well today. We had a good amount of time to practice in Bible class after reviewing verses; and we practiced again this afternoon after the party. Before we practiced in the afternoon, we talked about props and costumes for the program. We also read the parts of the script that came before that song and before and after the next song in the program, which was Genesis 1:1.
It was after 2:00 before I got to nap. After nap, I heated water and washed up the dishes from the party. Also washed up the greens Sunny had brought yesterday. Then there were a few more English lessons to correct, plus the spelling quizzes. Aromata came for pain medicine, and I gave her an English Bible too.
Cooked up the greens for supper and made another little salad with the spaghetti noodles I had cooked yesterday evening.
After supper, I spent time on this coming weeks lesson plans.
“Therefore shall ye keep mine ordinance, that ye commit not any one of these abominable customs, which were committed before you, and that ye defile not yourselves therein: I am the LORD your God.” Leviticus 18:30
