Good morning all!
One of the passages Dad and Mom suggested for people to pray through was II Chronicles 20. I was reading some of that chapter last night and read a few more verses again this morning. Verses 1 - 4 tell how the battle began and how the victory started. The victory began to be won when Jehoshapat feared and set himself to seek the Lord. Here are these verses and some thoughts on them.
“1It came to pass after this also, that the children of Moab, and the children of Ammon, and with them other beside the Ammonites, came against Jehoshaphat to battle. 2Then there came some that told Jehoshaphat, saying, There cometh a great multitude against thee from beyond the sea on this side Syria; and, behold, they be in Hazazontamar, which is Engedi. 3And Jehoshaphat feared, and set himself to seek the LORD, and proclaimed a fast throughout all Judah. 4And Judah gathered themselves together, to ask help of the LORD: even out of all the cities of Judah they came to seek the LORD.” (II Chronicles 20:1-4)
At this point it seems as if there is a great multitude against Dad and Mom. Only two people in the village have been willing to stand with them. Much of that has been due to fear. Again, I cannot go into detail, but Dad and Mom really need prayer.
Dad and Mom have set themselves to seek the LORD, and they have pleaded that the multitude of Christian brethren who stand with them will do the same. You may or may not fast, but please seek the LORD with us. Please come before the throne of grace to ask help of the LORD in time of need. And please recruit others to do the same so that Christian brothers and sisters out of all places will come to seek the LORD for them as well. Thank you, so much.
We will keep you posted when we hear any developments. And I will try to update with some verses to pray through each day this week.
