Greetings to all our readers. Thank you for stopping by, and thank you for your prayers.
Dad and Mom called Saturday night. They are doing well. Mom has a bit of sinus problem due to the dry weather they are experiencing right now. For quite a few months they had rain, rain, and more rain. Now it has been dry for about 2 months. There has been lots of wind and clouds but little rain.
Dad is excited to be able to start Bible school again. He has 4 students - 2 new students and 2 second year students. They are scheduled to begin classes today.
Also, please continue in prayer as Dad preaches through the book of Romans verse by verse. On Sunday he preached on the second half of Romans 1. They are praying that the Holy Spirit will take the power of God's word and work in hearts and change lives. They are praying specifically for 1 or 2 men who will stand like Caleb and Joshua and be faithful in the Lord's service all the days of their lives.
Thank you for praying for Dad and Mom's needs in regard to a water tank. They were able to get one and ship it to SIL. However, somehow SIL had not understood what kind of water tank it was. They were planning to sling it in under the helicopter. However, they are not able to sling that type of tank in under the helicopter. It cannot come in on just any plane because it is a 2,000 liter tank. Dad and Mom are left with one of three options - they can try to see if the store will take it back; they can see if another missionary at SIL would like to buy it from them; they can wait for a special type of aircraft to be flying their way that can bring it in. So please pray for God's wisdom and provision in this matter.
Recently Pastor Nuanda took a long hike to another village. This hike was hard on him, and he became ill once again. On Sunday he was not feeling well at all. Please continue in prayer for him.
Tomas is one of the men who translates for Dad when he preaches. He does a good job and puts a lot of enthusiasm into his translating. Please pray for Tomas' wife as she is sick. She has been sick for 2 weeks with symptoms that mimic malaria. However, medications do not seem to be helping her. Please pray for wisdom for the medical personnel in finding out what is wrong with her and treating her. Pray that she will soon be well again.
Lastly, please continue to pray for a partner for Dad and Mom. They continue to pray that the Lord will raise up someone to help them in their section of the harvest field.
Thank you for all your prayers. God is good. Have a wonderful week, everyone!
