Hello all those who visit and pray. Sorry it has taken so long to start updates by posting the exerpts from Mom’s journal about the work in Owena during the month of December. Lord willing I will have this done within the next couple of weeks. Those were trying weeks for Dad and Mom, but God was with them and gave them blessings as well.
Please continue to pray as it appears that there will be some major changes in their ministry in the upcoming days. They will continue to be working in the Owena village. This is a village that has been a part of our lives since I was 5 years old. It is a part of our lives and a part of our heart. Years of love and labour have been poured into this village. But recently there has been heartache and sorrow as people in the church have rejected the word of God and chosen to go their own way. Dad and Mom have poured out their heart to these people, working day after day, praying with tears over wayward souls. Yet, still, they reject the word of God. Now Dad and Mom must move to a different area of the village and begin the work again by laying a solid foundation and by teaching and training those who desire to follow Christ with all their hearts. They will once again pour out their hearts in love to these people, the love of Christ. They will once again labour day after day, praying and entreating with tears. And God will not forget their labour. They will have rewards in Heaven and sorrow and tears will turn into joy.
As Dad and Mom begin this new phase of their work in Owena, the main focus of their ministry will be on Scripture translation. This work can only be successful with God’s help. Please pray that there will be many prepared hearts to hear God’s Word and follow in His way. Pray for success in translation and that the translation of God’s Word will be perfect and right so that it might reach souls with power. A solid and accurate translation of God’s Word is important for a solid foundation for God’s church. Pray for God’s Word to have free course in the lives of these people. Thank you all so much.
1Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you: 2And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all men have not faith. II Thessalonians 3:1,2
