After laundry, I was ready for a little nap. Then we called Christy and Connie. They were at a friend’s house, but were about ready to leave and go home. We waited about 15 or 20 minutes for the girls to get back home. I got the English and science lesson plans written while we were talking.
After that, I got the Pidgin words for “Whosoever Will” put into the music. Want to start teaching the students some songs that will be suitable for outreach. Dinner was the rest of the leftovers. Don’t know what we’ll have tomorrow. While dinner was heating, I got the dry ingredients together in a bowl for bread; and after dinner, I finished making the bread and put it into the pan to rise. Then it was time for afternoon nap.
When we got up, the bread was ready to go into the oven. Started the oven heating, and started making some crackers. When that was done, and everything was in the oven, I got the students’ Bible lessons and music lessons set up so they are ready to print out tomorrow evening.
Just before supper, I washed out the pressure cooker and sorted and washed greens and onions to cook for dinner tomorrow. Got those cut up right after supper before doing dishes. This evening, I got Sunny’s math pages ready for printing as well as math worksheets. Also cleaned the tub, sink, and toilet. Soon we will have our bath.
Kelly called today to find out when Daddy is going out so he can send medicine in. Jenny called to see how I was doing, and Ane said hello too. Silvia came by this evening and said that David has been preaching almost every day here and there around Goroka. Also giving out tracts.
“And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.” John 17:3
April 28. The Lord gave us a sunny morning and more rain this afternoon. We are thankful it is not raining this evening, and people are here for soul-winning class.
After breakfast and quiet time this morning, I tried doing a little walking, something I have not felt like doing for a long time. Then I got math flash cards with 5 and 6 division facts ready to be printed out this evening. I almost forgot about doing the flash cards.
Daddy finished 1 Corinthians 10 in lotu this morning and started on chapter 11 (the first two verses) this afternoon.
Matthew shared this morning that he went and preached at Ahnyauntapeq again. After he finished preaching, one man came to ask questions. This is the first sincere inquiry into the truth since the men started doing public preaching. It was a big encouragement to the men to just keep faithful and steadfast in the work of the Lord.
This afternoon, I washed my hair and then wrote an e-mail. Husked the corn Sakias had brought yesterday and cooked a couple ears for supper. (Most of the corn was much too hard so it will be dried and ground into flour.) Also made fish patties for supper.
This evening, there was LOTS of printing to do - shopping list, Bible and music lessons for this week of school, math lessons for Sunny, math worksheets, multiply and divide charts and flash cards. I think I got everything done that has to be done before Wednesday. Daddy will run the generator again Wednesday evening for Bible school.
“14I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. 15I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil. 16They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. 17Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. 18As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world. 19And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.” John 17:14-19
