March 8. I thank the Lord for giving us a little rain in the night each night. There hasn’t been much sunshine during the day though. It wasn’t as cool today, however, so I only kept the wood stove going until noon.
Made myself a small batch of pancakes for breakfast.
We finished our Bible lesson yesterday in Bible class so did the music lesson today. Then we practiced singing for a while. They want to sing a couple songs on the Lord’s Supper Sunday, and we started practicing one for the anniversary meetings. I need to find another one for them to sing then also.
After my lunch, I got bread dough made up and into the pan to rise while I was waiting for Phinehas and Dallas to came back for keyboard class. It is exciting to see them making progress.
It was going on 2:30 when they left, and I went right to nap.
This afternoon, I cooked up a small bunch of greens which one of Matthew’s girls had brought to me. They will go with my dinner tomorrow.
A boy also brought three eggs this afternoon. Thank you, Lord, for more eggs.
March 9. Right after supper last night, I practiced keyboard until it got too dark to see. Then I had my bath; and right after bath, I went to bed. It was just a few minutes after 7:00. It had been a long, hard week; and I was quite tired out. I did not get up until a few minutes after 6:00 this morning.
I felt a little better most of the morning after all that rest. Put some eggs on the wood stove to boil while I was eating breakfast.
Lotu started about 7:30. Amos was in charge. He gave his message on John 15:1,2.
After lotu, I asked if one of the ladies would like to sweep the meeting room. I was thankful for the help of Espina and Rebeka.
Worked on lesson plans this morning and made a visual for “Heaven Is a Happy Place” so we can learn that in phonics class.
Put a pot of rice and soup mix on the wood stove to cook while I was working on lessons.
When I got up from nap, I was having more pain. Got my chlorella drink and went and sat in the recliner where I crocheted and prayed for a while. I was thankful that the pain settled down. Got up and cut up the rest of the popo. Ate half for snack and cooked the other half to go on the rest of my pancakes in the morning.
Cleaned the bathroom sink, shelves, and toilet. Walked slowly around the schoolroom for a short while, and then decided to go walk around outside for a while. Even though there was no sunshine, it felt good to get out.
Wrote yesterday’s journal notes and started on today’s. Then fixed and ate supper. After supper, I got the ashes cleaned out of the fire box, took them outside, and dumped them around the flowers. Got things ready to start the fire in the morning. Filled up the hand soap pump in the bathroom. Then did dishes.
“68Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life. 69And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God.” John 6:68,69
