June 27. It was still very cloudy today but not quite as cold. We really did not want to make a fire this morning. It seems to take a lot of oxygen out of the air and makes it hard to breathe. It turned out to be an okay day - not too cold and not too warm. We still had a light jacket on most of the day.
Matthew taught lotu this morning, touching on the first three verses of Genesis chapter 24, talking about finding God’s will for marriage. There weren’t very many prayer requests today.
After lotu, we did the laundry. We did hang it outside again. Even though it wasn’t sunny, there wasn’t any rain. It took quite a while for the clothes to dry, and some of them still had to be hung up in the guest room after our nap.
After hanging clothes, I had my Saturday cappuccino (real whipped cream this time - leftover from our banana pudding the other day). Yum! Thanks, C&C, for the whipped cream. Then I put pasteovers on one page of all the math books and put the new music and Bible lessons into the students’ notebooks. Did some proofreading of unit 4 history lesson until time for lunch.
First thing I did after nap was get the rest of the clothes in and hang the not-quite-dry ones in the guest room. Washed my hair after that. Then finished proofreading the history lesson and wrote an e-mail to Christy and Connie. Then I made a meat pie for supper; and while that was cooking, I worked on a math review lesson on telling time.
After supper and cleaning up the kitchen, I finished up the math review lesson and printed out copies.
