July 6. It was pretty cold last night, and the skies were clear and sunny early this morning. But as the morning wore on, the skies turned cloudy, and the air turned cool. Later in the morning, strong winds started to blow. The sun came out again this afternoon, but the cool winds continued to whip through the grass and trees and through the house too.
Today was a busy day, and I am tired this evening.
Matthew had charge of lotu this morning. He continued his series about the new man, talking today about the ear.
It was nice not to have to do laundry after lotu. When lotu was over, I got clean sheets put on the bed and made up the bed. Then Daddy turned on the generator for a while so I worked on Daniel for about an hour. Later Daddy changed the oil in the generator. About 10:30, I started fixing dinner. Peeled potatoes, and made meatballs, then cut up onions and browned the onions and meatballs. Added water. Cut up the potatoes, some carrots and broccoli and added those. Spiced it up with seasonings, and there was meatball stew cooking for our dinner.
After nap, I washed my hair. Then spent most of the rest of the afternoon going through other drums, finding more of Connie’s clothes to set aside for the sale, finding the bedding for Connie’s bed and putting all that in the drum in her room, and finding things we’ll be using for the drama at the end of the school year and putting all that in another drum. By the time I was done, it was 4:30, and I needed to sit down a while before getting supper.
“5Exalt ye the LORD our God, and worship at his footstool; for he is holy…. 9Exalt the LORD our God, and worship at his holy hill; for the LORD our God is holy.” Psalm 99:5,9
July 7. The Lord gave us a warm, dry day today. There were some cool winds, but it wasn’t as cold as the other day.
After breakfast and quiet time this morning, I cut out the labels I had printed last night for the students’ Bible folders, and pasted the labels on the folders. Then I found dividers to use in their folders for their two Bible studies and music lessons. This afternoon, I got tabs put on the dividers to label the three sections.
After lunch, I was tired and lay down for a nap. Had a good sound sleep and woke up in time for the afternoon preaching.
After lotu, I finished setting up the Bible folders and then work on some lessons and Bible verse reminders in the computer.
Yesterday was the last day on the Cipro, and this morning I started on the nitrofurantoin. I am feeling quite nauseated this evening after only two doses so don’t know how I’m going to handle it.
“To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.” Acts 26:18
