December 3. Sunny this morning and raining this evening. A bit cooler last night, and Daddy got the fire going this morning.
Fixed hot oatmeal for my breakfast this morning. After quiet time, I finished putting the band on the other beret. Then Daddy turned on the generator, and I printed out song sheets for the choir to use tonight. Then I worked on the soul-winning lesson until a little after 10:00. Had a snack, sorted and washed greens and onions, and then practiced music until I got too hot under the skylight. Got the greens and onions cut up and on to cook. Then warmed up dinner.
Both MAf and NTM were in today. NTM brought in our bottled gas, diesel, and a couple other items. Both planes took out coffee to sell for the people.
This afternoon, I looked for reading and phonics books as I need two more copies of each one for this next school year. I found the workbooks; but I can’t seem to find the second grade readers anywhere, and I can’t think of any other places where boxes of books might be. After hunting for a while, I spent more time on the soul-winning lesson. Took a break from that, put eggs on to boil for supper, and then practiced music some more.
Had supper, cleaned up the kitchen, gave some baby clothes to a young lady who just had her first baby on Sunday, and then did dishes. There weren’t very many this evening.
Got the keyboard set up in the other room as the youth group is supposed to come for choir practice this evening.
“15See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, 16Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. 17Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.” Ephesians 5:15-17
December 4. It is 6:20 already. The school kids said they were going to come at 6:00 to practice music before Bible school, but they are not here yet. They were up in the bush today helping the men get limbum for the floor of the church addition, and haven’t gotten back yet. Daniel said they were fixing their supper up there so they could eat first.
Last night, there was a good group of youth here to practice music, plus a few adults and Jonathan and his family. We spent most of the hour+ on “Naispela Baibel” and then sang “Jesus Loves Me” before calling it quits for the evening. The youth themselves stayed and practiced more songs together.
Today has been a sunny, humid and dry day, and a busy day too. People were late coming to lotu. We started lotu with seven people, I think, and it was already 7:30. Amos preached today on Acts 2:40,41. It was after 8:30 when we finished, and then we all talked for a while.
After that, I practiced the welcome songs with the four young men. Then Daddy turned on the generator, and I worked on the soul-winning lesson. Finished that this afternoon. Now I need to mark places where the students will have blanks and then print out a copy for Daddy to proofread.
After that, Daddy and I talked about adding a section onto the desk so we have a place to put our anniversary present - a new stereo radio/cassette player. We got some wood out and did some measuring. I was going to go out for a little walk; but the air was so close, it was too hard to breathe out there.
Took a longer nap than I had planned, but guess I needed it. This afternoon, I got all the papers and other things off my desk that had gotten piled up there when we came back from town. Practiced keyboard some more as the school students said they want to practice some songs for Sunday. Practiced songs for the youth choir too before finishing up the soul-winning lesson and getting supper. Not very many dishes this evening so I used the warm dishwater to scrub my old chair.
