Devit and Erik and the rest of Daniel’s group worked on translating Matyu. Matyu’s group worked on correcting Romans 14. Finished about 2/3 of the chapter, so will have to get chapter 15 printed for next time. Daddy worked with Matyu’s group, and I worked on the kidznewzletter. Was thankful to get most of that finished.
This morning Daddy and I did our Bible study on John 5, verses 36-41. A lot of meat there to chew on. Christ said to His disciples later, “As the Father hath sent me, even so send I you.” We see here in John 5 that the Father sent the Son not only to do His work, but to finish the work that He sent Him to do. Christ has sent us to do a work, and we need to finish the work that He has sent us to do.
Serah came at 8:00 this morning to do dishes and prepare food. A little before 9:00, we went on to youth group. Today was game day. Today they had them play basketball, five at a time from each of two teams for five minutes, then switch with other team members. Girls first, then boys. At the end, they tallied all the points, and the team with the most points won. Team 4 won today. After the game time, they went back up to the church building for their team get-together.
I came back to the house before games. Have so much to do here. It was 12:00 or so before Daddy got back. I worked most of the day today on proofreading the work that Devit had put into files.
That went much better, and there don’t seem to be as many corrections since giving Devit the use of the “new” computer. The cursor doesn’t jump around in there, and his typing is much more accurate. I was hoping that would be the case, and was thankful to see that it was.
We are going to need lots of patience and wisdom and encouragement in working with these people. And we could certainly use some partners too. There is far more to do than we can do ourselves. Is God calling YOU?
Daddy and I worked on correcting some verses in James chapter 2 this afternoon also. I need to print those out tomorrow to use in ladies’ meeting on Friday evening.
November 11.
Rain during the night, but another very warm day today. Or maybe we just think it’s warm. Daddy was more sleepy today than usual. This afternoon, he was running a fever. Doesn’t have any other symptoms, though, to know what is causing the fever.
Serah came at 7:30 to do laundry. There wasn’t too much printing to do. Tried to install the printer into one of the Dell computers, the one we are using for translation, so I could print out the next chapter of Romans, chapter 15. After several frustrating attempts, I finally gave up. Then tried to put the Romans 15 print file on CD to put into the Acer and print from there, but the Dell would not let me write on any old CD’s if there was something already on them, and it would not acknowledge any new CD’s that I put into it. Finally remembered the flash drive and tried it. That worked, but printing time was over by then. So Romans 15 didn’t get printed. Oh, well.
After Serah got the laundry done, it was time to go to lotu.
Wan came and put up some more rope for laying out the foundation stones for the house addition.
Jevin came this evening to ask us to pray for baby Judy. She has had diarrhea since Monday. The doctors have tried a couple kinds of medicine already, and gave her a third kind today. Daddy prayed with Jevin before he left. After I worked on the computer a while, Daddy and I checked more of Mark chapter 10.
