Susan came by in the evening with bananas.
“5 And a voice came out of the throne, saying, Praise our God, all ye his servants, and ye that fear him, both small and great. 6 And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth. 7 Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready. 8 And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints. 9 And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.” Revelation 19:5-9
July 4. Strong winds blew during the night. Rain clouds this morning in the north and east, but they did not come here. Later it cleared off, and the winds were stronger than ever. It was hard to sleep at nap time too, the winds blew so hard.
We were pleasantly surprised when Korin came today to pay the rest of the first term school fees. Ben said that a handful of men are still talking about building a schoolhouse so we can teach more of their children. Praise the Lord. We do need more teachers to come help us in the coming years.
Daddy met with the prospective Bible school students between meetings this morning. They are going to get everyone together on Wednesday morning to discuss the time and place of meeting for Bible school and the payment of Bible school fees.
Met with the teachers this afternoon to talk over tomorrow’s lessons. Checked out the text of the new little reading books with them. They said it was fine so went ahead and printed them tonight. I am looking forward to having the students start reading.
Before supper, I made a cake for celebrating Manila’s birthday tomorrow. His birthday was this past Tuesday.
“4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. 5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. 6 And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.” Revelation 21:4-6
July 5. The Lord graciously sent us rain during the night and most of the morning too. Not a hard rain, but something to water the ground and refresh the earth.
Back to school today. Things went well. Praise the Lord for His help. The children had forgotten some things, but remembered a lot of things too. Seems like Ephraim is finally catching on in tokples.
In English class, I showed them the videos I took of their family day program parts. And we had Manila’s birthday party.
There was lots of work for Serah this afternoon. She worked three hours, doing dishes, preparing food, folding clothes, and sweeping.
This evening, Daniel’s group continued checking of Matyu.
"Trust ye in the Lord for ever: for in the Lord Jehovah is everlasting strength." Isaiah 26:4
Below is a picture of the boys who attend school. Don't they look like typical boys?
