This morning, I made hot rice cereal for breakfast since we missed that yesterday. Also the granola was all but gone - we had finished it up in town except for a wee bit. Ate breakfast and had quiet time. Crocheted. Tried to walk, but didn’t walk long before my knee was hurting too much. Translated another chapter of Revelation. Then Dallas, Phinehas, and Philemon came for keyboard class.
After they left, I sorted and washed greens that Tonka had brought yesterday. Also husked the three ears of corn he brought and put them in the pressure cooker. Then I made a loaf of bread. As I lay in bed this morning, I thought of how I might make a soft, fluffy loaf. I was so thankful that it turned out really nice, and I enjoyed the fresh bread for supper tonight. After getting the bread ready to rise, I started making granola. But I felt a little tired, so decided to get a snack and sit down a few minutes. Sat and snacked and finished a little crocheted hat. It just needs a pompom on the top. I am not very good at making pompoms, but will give it a try later.
Then Lew suggested going for a walk so we did. It was 11:00 already - a little bit warm, but not as humid as it had been before we went to town so I did not mind the heat as much. When we got back, the bread was ready to go in the oven so started the oven warming. Finished making the granola, put the bread in the oven, cleaned up the kitchen, cleaned out the grinder (Daddy had ground rice earlier in the morning as I used up the rice cereal rice this morning), put the greens and corn on to cook, and put the spaghetti and leftover veggies on to warm for dinner. Then we ate and had nap.
After nap, I washed my hair, put away the granola, organized some things in the office, put some photos in the computer picture file, and worked on the November progress report. Now supper is over and dishes are done and I am thankful for time to relax again. The men should be coming soon for Bible school.
“29And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel's, 30But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life. 31But many that are first shall be last; and the last first.” Mark 10:29-31
