September 9. No rain last night. Some rain this afternoon. Praise the Lord for all those who came to work today! The men split the bamboo, and the ladies beat it. Then the ladies cooked food while the men wove the bamboo.
Nuka and her father came by this morning to talk about their getting bamboo and to make arrangements about pay for them.
This morning, I checked another chapter of Luke. After that I swept the floors. Then cleaned up the greens to cook for the weekend before starting dinner.
This afternoon, I had just gone down for nap when the boom boom started. So figured I may as well wait until later. Got up and put a page of Owena Matthew translation into its computer file. Then had my nap, and afterward did another page of Matthew. After a break, I started organizing more of the Romans outline.
“16These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: 17A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, 18An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, 19A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.” Proverbs 6:16-19
September 10. .4” rain since yesterday. Lots of fog this morning, but it was soon gone, and the sun was shining brightly. Eron came early and went up to the house to work. He worked most of the morning, trimming off the poles that were too long and sticking out the sides of the house. Neomi and a couple of the other ladies did bring their bamboo up this morning.
David has certainly gotten himself into a tight situation. Will he seek the Lord’s help to get out of it, or will he give in to the temptation? Please pray for spiritual strength for David. The Lord is using him in the ministry in Owena, and Satan would surely love to lead him astray. He is facing some very strong temptations at the moment.
This morning, I checked chapter 21 of Luke and got chapter 22 set up for tomorrow. Also worked today on organizing the Romans notes.
Today was also our day to talk to Christy and Connie. We called them around 10:00 this morning. It was a joy to hear their voices. Didn’t really have a whole lot to talk about this time.
Was thankful for a nice nap this afternoon, without any boom boom interruption
This afternoon, the skies turned dark, and the we could see that rain was coming. This evening, we had quite a heavy downpour. When the rains stopped, Daddy went out to check the rain guage — about .9”.
“8All the words of my mouth are in righteousness; there is nothing froward or perverse in them. 9They are all plain to him that understandeth, and right to them that find knowledge. 10Receive my instruction, and not silver; and knowledge rather than choice gold. 11For wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it.” Proverbs 8:8-11
Below are some pictures of the progress in the building of the house. Please continue to pray as progress continues to remain very slow. We thank the Lord that He knows all things and has just the right time in mind for Dad and Mom to move into their new house.
