November 24. Thankful for a good night’s rest last night. Today has been another very dry and hot day.
Made our Sunday pancakes. There was no flavoring here for syrup so Daddy had plain sugar syrup. Made apple syrup for myself. Only had one pan to cook the pancakes on so it was 8:00+ before I got to eat.
After eating and quiet time, I put the finishing touches on the beret - a little tab (or whatever it’s called - not a pompom) on the top, and tucked in all the loose ends. Read the e-mail that came this morning. Went for a little stretch outside. Then we called Christy and Connie and chatted with them for a while. That was nice.
Put some eggs on to boil for egg salad sandwiches. Listened to a message by Pastor Ogle. It was called “Josiah’s Revival” I believe. It was a good thought-provoking message.
After that it was time to get lunch. Peeled the eggs and mashed them up with salt, pepper, and mayonnaise. Cut up another tomato too. There were still some cucumber pieces left from yesterday.
Didn’t have a very long nap today, but it seemed to be sufficient. Did the dishes after nap. Worked more on the spoken English lessons. Fixed rice, chicken gravy, and broccoli and carrots for supper.
