The children painted the table today in school. Eleven children and three teachers around the 6 x 3 foot table was a little crowded, but they behaved well. Each student and teacher’s helper had a section in which to paint something related to creation. I had printed one of their names in each section, and each worked in his own section. Later I went over the names with marker. Then I varnished the table so the paintings won’t get washed off.
Getting report cards ready to give the parents on Wednesday morning.
Today a lot of people left for Okapa with coffee to sell. Otherwise the day has been pretty much uneventful.
“ Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God. For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also aboundeth by Christ.” 2 Corinthians 1:3-5
May 4. This morning, after prayer, going over the job chart, singing the national anthem, and saying the pledge, school started out with a Bible game. Then we spent the rest of Bible class practicing for family day tomorrow. Had a short break, then went to tokples class. I was quite pleased with the progress the students are making in learning to spell. At the end of tokples class, we played a spelling game. When time ran out, there were still four students standing so each one received a prize.
After recess, we just had a short math class. Then in small groups, I showed the children (the teachers too) the little movie of all the class pictures taken this past 5 1/2 weeks. While I was showing pictures to some, the teachers were reading stories to others. After that, we had another practice session for family day before ending school for the day.
“For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.” 2 Corinthians 1:20
