February 3. Karen came some time between 9:30 and 10:00 this morning so we could take her to the hangar and then have Randy Smith’s car to use. Not sure of the exact time as I was busy working on the song file. Worked on the song file most of the day, whenever we weren’t out shopping, or eating, or napping. Finally got all the songs finished. Praise the Lord for His help! Now I will send the file to Connie again for the final touches and proofreading. (oops, power just went out)
Took Karen over to the hangar. Said good-bye to the Ellisons who were already there, sorting things out for coming flights and waiting for the SIL helicopter to come pick them up. Then we did some shopping uptown. Before coming home for lunch, we went back to the hangar and picked up a box of food items that Karen had left for Randy. We will hold it for him until he comes on Monday.
Had lunch and nap, and went back to work on the song file until supper time. Had leftover veggies for supper. More work on song file. Did dishes. More work on song file. Helped Daddy save some tax forms he had gotten up on the web, until the internet decided it had had enough and wouldn’t do any work at all. So we forced the computer to shut down, and then started it up again. Then did more work on song file until done.
We’ve been having rain most of the evening.
“12Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good. 13Was then that which is good made death unto me? God forbid. But sin, that it might appear sin, working death in me by that which is good; that sin by the commandment might become exceeding sinful.” Romans 7:12,13
February 4. No rain so far today, although there have been storm clouds mixed with periods of sunshine.
Washed clothes this morning. Then swept the house. After that, we went out shopping for a little while uptown. Came back to the house and called Christy and Connie. We didn’t get to talk to them very long though. The phone kept disconnecting. So we went out to a few second hand stores that we didn’t go to the other day. All I found was an undershirt. So my clothes shopping is done, but where will I get more clothes? Maybe Christy and Connie can send me something.
While I was getting lunch on, Daddy got the clothes in. Then we had lunch and a nice nap. This afternoon, I got the income report up to date and got the clothes folded (Daddy helped). Started work on another soul-winning lesson. Cooked rice with lentils, sausages, and onions for supper. We still had leftover veggies.
Worked some more on the lesson after supper, and then did dishes.
Oops, power just went out. (Didn’t stay out long.)

“The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God.” Romans 8:16
February 5. The Lord gave us a very cool, cloudy, windy day most of the day. We thought it might rain, but the Lord sent us some welcome sunshine this afternoon.
After our pancake breakfast and quiet time, I finished up a soul-winning lesson. Then we listend to a sermon on-line before dinner. Had leftover rice and veggies for dinner, after which I enjoyed a nice long nap.
Tomas called this afternoon. The Lord is answering prayer and giving drier weather in Owena, and the airstrip is becoming firm again. We will keep praying.
“As it is written, Behold, I lay in Sion a stumblingstone and rock of offence: and whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.” Romans 9:33
