May 30. Very warm and dry again today, with high winds in the afternoon.
Just finished doing the weekly laundry. Don’t know how much longer I will be able to do it, however. Transferring the clothes from the spinner to the extractor is too much strain on my back, and my feet hurt too much. If I could find some good shoes, maybe my feet and back would do better. I am thankful to be sitting down now.
Bible school students are here now, and Daddy is busy teaching.
This morning before school, I had a little time to find some music for a couple songs I plan to use in our school closing program this year. Yesterday evening before bed, I had just a few minutes to start collecting some thoughts and writing down some ideas for the students to do a musical drama this year. We have talked a lot about God’s promises in our Bible class so am building the drama around the theme “Standing on the Promises.” Translated that song last night before going to bed, and that will probably be our starting and ending song. Will see how things go as the drama unfolds in my mind. Also started writing in some notes on the music for tenor and bass to learn on a couple songs because the children’s song books only have chords written on the bass staff.
Almost all the students did really well on their dialogue today for oral English in spite of the fact that they had a short school week. I was very pleased.
There was a LOT of grading to do today, and I was busy with that most of the afternoon after nap until time to get supper.
“10And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. 11And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.” Revelation 12:10,11
May 31. The Lord sent us a little rain late yesterday evening, and a couple rain showers again today. There was also a good amount of sunshine today, and we enjoyed getting out for a little stretch mid-morning. I did not try to go to the airstrip today. It is too hard for me to walk on that trail now with the grass grown up, the pigs having dug up some of the trail, and the trail is needing to be leveled off. So we went out the north gate this morning and went up on the hill behind the house and walked along that trail and back.
After getting up and dressed this morning, Daddy and I went out to hang the clothes. Then we had our breakfast and quiet time. It was close to 7:30 before we got started with lotu. Tomas continued teaching on “Knowing the Will of God,” speaking today on Romans 12:1,2.
After lotu, Daddy turned on the generator, and I got some photos edited and put into the picture library. Then we went for our walk. When we came back, I worked on lesson plans until time to get dinner - spaghetti today.
Washed my hair after nap. Then finished up the lesson plans and cleaned the bathroom.
The youth went to Tainaraba again today to carry coffee that Kelly had bought.
“3And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvellous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints. 4Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? for thou only art holy: for all nations shall come and worship before thee; for thy judgments are made manifest.” Revelation 15:3,4
