March 7. It’s after 9:15 p.m. The Lord has given us a drier, warmer day. It is the first day in two weeks that the wood stove was not kept going all day. There were still a lot of clouds today, but not as much cool wind, and a wee bit more sunshine.
Today was music day in Bible class. After review of memory verses, the tenor and bass section finished learning their parts to John 1:12,13. Then we sang through the whole thing several times. They want to sing it on Sunday if Matthew can fit it into the schedule. This Sunday will probably be busy with testimonies and the baptism.
We finished the story of Carlos in phonics class today instead of going on to the reading lesson in their reader. It was hard for me to hold back crying as I read the end of the story. When the story was ended, I encouraged them that, when they pray, they should remember to thank God for their homes, their parents, plenty of food to eat, and that they have all they need, and to pray for the homeless children in many parts of the world.
After nap and grading the rest of today’s schoolwork, I worked a bit at the computer before going to the kitchen to make pizza for supper. After supper, I sorted clothes while the dish water was heating. Started dishes and laundry at the same time, and was thankful there weren’t many dishes. When the laundry was done, I did some photo copying. Then proofread the Bible school music course and set up the students’ lessons with blanks for them to fill in. Next was snack and bath, and finally I’m getting to write in my journal.
