June 8. It has been a hot, humid day. Was very stuffy in the meeting room today. Don’t know why such a big room gets so stuffy even with the door and all the windows wide open. The air is cooling down quickly this evening.
After breakfast and quiet time this morning, Daddy turned on the generator for a while so I could print out the next soul-winning lesson. I didn’t realize he needed it for this evening. When I opened the file for printing, however, I discovered that I had never made the students’ copy. Oops! So I spent the time the generator was running getting the students’ copy ready. Then when I tried to put a picture in, the Bible picture CD wouldn’t work. (I wonder if the CD drive needs to be cleaned.) So they have their new lesson without pictures this evening.
By the time I had it ready, the power was off so I couldn’t print it. Then I got an e-mail ready to go to Christy and Connie, and Daddy took the computer to the guest room to send the e-mail just before lotu.
Matthew preached at Ahnyauntapeq this morning; and, I believe, the youth choir sang. After the special music in lotu, Matthew continued the discipleship lesson he had been teaching, talking today about the indwelling Holy Spirit as our Comforter and teacher.
In the afternoon meeting, David continued the soul-winning lessons, teaching from Genesis, talking about the garden God prepared for Adam and gave to him to take care of. Then he made reference to the garden God has given us to work in -- John 4:35-38.
This afternoon, I hooked up the printer to the inverter and printed out the soul-winning lessons so they would be ready for this evening. Daddy collated them, and I punched the holes. When he gave them out this evening, however, I had done them wrong. Two of the lessons were supposed to have two holes, and the rest three holes. I had done them the other way around. So Dallas and Sosthenes brought the rest of the wrong ones in to me, and I re-punched them with three holes.
After getting the lessons ready, I started gluing together the soldiers that the students will be making on Tuesday. Then I started coloring my copy and getting it ready to put together. Finished the coloring and got it all put together this evening after doing dishes.
“22And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it. 23And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.” Revelation 21:22,23
June 9. The Lord sent us a mixture of sunshine and clouds again today, but also a little rain this afternoon.
We are still not sure if Daddy will be going to town next Thursday or the following Monday. MAF hadn’t been able to tell him yet when a plane will be available, and they haven’t gotten back to him. They are short on pilots right now because of several of the pilots being on leave so pilots from other areas are having to fill in part time.
Everyone was here early for school today. Sosthenes wasn’t feeling well - had a migraine headache - so went home after we prayed and sang. He was feeling better in the afternoon so came back for the last class of the day - spelling.
This afternoon, I didn’t have to get lesson material ready for tomorrow since they will be having art day. I did have spelling lessons to grade and grades to record, but that didn’t take long. Then I cut Daddy’s hair, and after that, I cut around the right hands of the soldiers they’ll be making for their art project so they can have him hold the sword. Made sure I had everything together for their art class - art project papers, art kit, glue, poster adhesive, scissors, rags, tables, plastic table covers... I think that’s all.
Now Wilson is here for Bible school. Just printed out a lesson for him.
“24And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it. 25And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there. 26And they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations into it. 27And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life.” Revelation 21:24-27
