January 8. Rainy and chilly damp today.
Did not sleep well last night. A lot of stomach pain.
We went out sometime after 8:30 this morning [to go house hunting].
From there we went to the bank and next to Aldi and then WalMart for a few items. And last of all to Verizon to try to iron out our phone problems. They are very helpful, and a lot more can be accomplished by going there in person than by trying to do business by internet or phone.
Worked on pictures for our presentation for a few minutes until lunch time and again this afternoon. Also made Lewis some oatmeal cookies this afternoon.
“6Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness. 7Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham. 8And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed. 9So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham.” Galatians 3:6-9
January 9. Praise the Lord for less pain and a better night’s rest last night.
This morning, I put the bedding and a few other things in to wash. Then I emptied all my craft stuff out of the PNG Travel suitcase and organized it into a couple boxes. Then we started packing the suitcase with things to take to Texas. Also wrote a list of things to pack later so I don’t forget.
When the bedding was done washing and drying, we remade the bed.
Updated income report before starting dinner -- beef lentil soup.
Christy and Connie came just a few minutes before the clock struck midday. Their printer gave up the ghost today.
Part of afternoon time was spent getting the Love, Mercy, Grace material set up in booklet form. Also transferred photos from camera to computer and sent some to Connie.
Later Connie and I looked at crocheted scarf patterns together and then she sent me a link for free patterns.
Worked more on the Love, Mercy, Grace booklet this evening before doing dishes. There were lots of dishes again. After that, I looked through some of the scarf patterns and picked out one to work on. Started working on that a little bit later this evening.
“4But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, 5To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons. 6And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father. 7Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.” Galatians 4:4-7
