Last month I posted the story of a man named Maik Mak. Maik Mak had come to Dad to talk with him about getting his life right with the Lord. Dad asked him if he had ever been saved, and he said he was not sure he had. After hearing the plan of salvation, Maik Mak trusted in the Lord Jesus as His Saviour. Then he was given some doctrinal booklets on salvation, repentance, and faith and encouraged to go home and share his salvation with his family. Dad told him he could come back later to talk about baptism and any other questions he might have. And he did. Maik Mak wants to be baptized, and that special service is scheduled to take place in about two weeks. Praise the Lord!
Dad and Mom are also praising the Lord that there is now one wall up on their house. Soon they will be taking a trip into the town of Goroka for supplies, and the people said that they would work on the house while Dad and Mom are out in town. Please pray that they will indeed do this. As soon as the outside walls are up, Mom and Dad plan to move in. They will work on the rest of the house after they are moved in.
Another prayer request for Mom and Dad is in regard to their visas. They have three year multiple re-entry visas, but these expire in December. Right now they are having some difficulty getting these renewed. Please pray about this matter. The baby church (Glory Independent Baptist Church) is at a crucial point right now, and it seems like this would be a very bad time for Dad and Mom to have to leave, even if it is only for a few months. Thank you for your diligent prayers in regard to this. Please continue to pray about my visa as well. We have been waiting three years for approval of my visa and are still waiting. Thank you for praying.
1I love the LORD, because he hath heard my voice and my supplications. 2Because he hath inclined his ear unto me, therefore will I call upon him as long as I live… 5Gracious is the LORD, and righteous; yea, our God is merciful. 6The LORD preserveth the simple: I was brought low, and he helped me. 7Return unto thy rest, O my soul; for the LORD hath dealt bountifully with thee. 8For thou hast delivered my soul from death, mine eyes from tears, and my feet from falling. 9I will walk before the LORD in the land of the living… 12What shall I render unto the LORD for all his benefits toward me? 13I will take the cup of salvation, and call upon the name of the LORD. 14I will pay my vows unto the LORD now in the presence of all his people… 17I will offer to thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and will call upon the name of the LORD. 18I will pay my vows unto the LORD now in the presence of all his people. (Psalm 116:1,2,5-9, 12-14, 17,18)
