June 30. A cold, cloudy, windy day again. Temperature is dropping quickly this evening as the skies begin to clear.
Apekio came early this morning, and we hugged and cried for a while. She said something about tossing and turning all night and not sleeping well. I told her it won’t be long until we are all in heaven, and there we will never say good-bye.
There wasn’t much work to grade today, and it was all done before school was out so all I had to do after nap was cut up a popo and make sure things are ready for classes tomorrow. Then I made some oatmeal/fruit/spice cookies for snacks. After I got those into the oven, I put supper on to warm and practiced the keyboard while it was heating so I can start teaching new songs on Friday.
“15And saying, Sirs, why do ye these things? We also are men of like passions with you, and preach unto you that ye should turn from these vanities unto the living God, which made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all things that are therein: 16Who in times past suffered all nations to walk in their own ways. 17Nevertheless he left not himself without witness, in that he did good, and gave us rain from heaven, and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with food and gladness.” Acts 14:15-17
