Well, now it is 7:45. Daniel and Apekio and Graham were just here visiting a while. They had been in Marivo all week. Daniel paid for Graham’s school books for the year. Ben came in with his mobile which will have to wait until tomorrow night to get charged. Talked a little bit with him. Then Matthew came to pay for his school books, and I asked him a couple questions about the Scripture passage the men had made changes on.
My, what a busy day it has been! Woke up early this morning. When I got up, I stripped the bed and sorted out the clothes to be washed later. Had breakfast and quiet time. People came early for lotu. Amos led the singing and looked after prayer time. Daddy did the teaching, giving a little more background on the Lord’s prayer which he had started teaching on one other time. There was a good group here this morning, including a number of visitors.
After lotu, there were a number of things all going on at once. Daddy started the generator, and I started laundry. Mata and Sunny were here making unleavened bread for the Lord’s supper tomorrow. An elderly man from Marivo wanted salt, and a man from Oxorotaba wanted a shirt for his infant. Eric brought money to pay for Esau’s and Bethuel’s school books. In between times, I was putting clean sheets on the bed and getting the bed made up. Before Sunny left, she paid for her school books.
After people stood around outside a while and talked, three of the Bible school men came back in and worked more on checking and revising the Scripture portion in John 3. Tomas has had a bad cold and has not been feeling well. However, he came later in the morning, paid for Phinehas’s school books, and then worked with the other three men.
It was very hot outside already when the wash was done and I hung out the clothes. They were already partly dry by the time I came back inside. Had an emergen-C drink and a dish of cereal. Got books put into the cupboard for those students whose fathers had paid. Worked on the translation of Revelation until time to warm up dinner.
After dinner, we got the clothes in, got hang up items put in the closet, and then went down for nap. This afternoon, I spent a lot of time hunting for some pictures that I could not find. Then I put the corrections in the computer for John 3.
After eating supper and washing dishes, I swept and washed the kitchen floor. It has needed washing for a long time, but our mop was broken. We got a new one in town, and Daddy got the handle put on it yesterday. I am so happy that the floor is washed once again. Then I cleaned the bathroom before sitting down to write in my journal. Just got started on that when company came.
Daddy finished putting up plywood in the wall end of our bedroom closet so I was able to get my town clothes hung up too.
“42But Jesus called them to him, and saith unto them, Ye know that they which are accounted to rule over the Gentiles exercise lordship over them; and their great ones exercise authority upon them. 43But so shall it not be among you: but whosoever will be great among you, shall be your minister: 44And whosoever of you will be the chiefest, shall be servant of all. 45For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.” Mark 10:42-45
