June 1. Slept in until after 6:30 this morning. Was thankful to be able to get a little more rest while I felt comfortable for resting.
This morning, David taught more on the work of the Holy Spirit - highlights from creation through the resurrection of Christ. There were a good number here for lotu.
While clothes were washing this morning, I got clean sheets put on the bed and the bed made up, swept the bedroom floor, and worked on lesson plans for school for this coming week.
After we got all the clothes hung out, I felt pretty tired so lay down to rest. Daddy lay down in the recliner. I may have dozed for a few minutes, I’m not sure; but my eyes didn’t seem to be sleepy. So I just let my body rest. While I was resting, some ideas came to mind for a drama for the closing program at the end of the school year. So I should start working on that as soon as I get the opportunity.
After I got up, I worked on lesson plans the rest of the morning until time to get dinner. I fixed myself a small pot of rice, and Daddy still had mashed potatoes left over. We don’t have any fresh veggies other than a bit of pumpkin so I warmed up a can of peas. Also had a piece of popo with my dinner.
After dinner, I lay down again for a nap, hoping for some sleep this time. But I did not get any. After an hour, I got up and started working more on the lesson plans. Got those finished and washed the chalkboard. Then got this coming week’s music lesson written in the computer and got the students’ Bible and music lessons set up for printing. Printed all those out this evening.
After supper and dishes, I cleaned the bathroom sink and toilet before sitting down at the computer. Got some printing done and am now working on some studies in John which the students will be working on now that they have just about finished Exodus. In a few minutes, we will have our baths.

June 2. The Lord gave us a heavy rain this evening, the first rain we have had like that in several weeks. Daddy was having a hard time teaching the soul-winning class. He had to stop for a while when the rain got really heavy. The students all did some coloring while they were waiting for the rain to slow down.
Last night was not a very good night. My head felt really heavy, and that made my pillow feel like a rock. It was 1:00 or after before I finally got some sleep. Daddy didn’t have a very good night either. He was feeling quite dizzy when he went to bed. He always seems to have a worse time on Saturday evening when the wood stove is going. The wood stove seems to take a lot of oxygen out of the house, or something. We need to remember to open more windows on Saturday evenings. He went off all his supplements today to see if maybe one of them is contributing to his having more dizziness too. He will start back on them one by one.
I only had to make one batch of pancakes this morning because all my flours are gone and Daddy hasn’t felt strong enough to grind more. I did make a double batch of wheat pancakes, though, so there will be enough for both of us to have pancakes later in the week as well. It was nice to eat a little earlier than I usually do on Sunday mornings.
After breakfast and quiet time, Daddy turned on the generator and I worked on school lessons. Continued working after he turned off the generator, until church time.
There were a number of visitors in lotu this morning. Max (Amos’s brother) was there today. Daddy preached this morning on I Corinthians 12:12-26 in the morning and the rest of the chapter in the afternoon. The Lord gave him the needed strength as he was feeling pretty weak after the dizziness.
I was really tired after not sleeping good last night, but when I tried to take a nap, I was not comfortable. I had been trying to take a couple days break from the lemon soda, but discovered that is still not the thing to do. My body still needs the soda.
This afternoon, there was more lesson material to get ready for printing this evening. Have been quite busy most of the evening doing printing, collating, punching holes, etc.
