January 18. Finished acknowledging support and sending out updates today. Bro. Clarke came at 10:00 this morning to see how he could help us with translation. We gave him some verses to take home and work on so we can try to get the PNG flag tract printed soon.
January 19. Turned very cold last night. The heater ran at least half the night.
Lew went out this morning to do some shopping. I stayed in because of the irritation in my throat and chest. Spent quite a bit of time on our presentation today. We need to get that done quickly now so we will be ready to start reporting to our supporting churches.
Lewis and I also spent a good amount of time checking over the translation of Matthew.
“That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death….” Philippians 3:10
January 20. Most of my time today was spent on our ministry presentation. I am thankful that it should be coming to completion soon - at least the gathering together of the pictures should be. Now we need some help in setting it up and making it pleasing to the viewer.
We worked a little bit on translation again this morning and almost completed Matthew 6. After lunch, Daddy went out to get some extra bread and milk since winter weather has been predicted for the rest of this week. He also got a new flashlight for me since my little flashlight just kept blinking on and off and I figured it would soon die. I had already had my nap and was up working before he got back.
This afternoon, the Lord sent us snow flurries. I was so excited to see those beautiful white flakes floating down to the ground. I wanted to be a little kid again for just a few minutes and put on my snowsuit and boots and go out and play in the snow. (Smile!) The snowfall didn’t last long and not much stuck to the ground.
Christy stopped and picked Daddy up for church this evening since my sore throat and cough have not subsided yet.
“6Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. 7And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6,7
