We were blessed with being able to talk to Dad and Mom this evening. They are doing well.
Dad and Mom asked for prayer that God would send laborers to help in their area of the harvest. There are so many children and young people. They need someone especially devoted to work with them and to help them. They need someone to motivate them to do right and to live for the Lord. They need someone to come that will be able to do things with them that Dad and Mom cannot do because of their age.
Dad and Mom are praying specifically for partners to help with the children and young people. They are also praying for young partners whom they can train to take over when Dad and Mom are no longer able to carry on the work. Will you not pray with them? Will you go if God calls?
Also, please continue praying for Pastor Nuanda. He is out in town right now, but he is not doing well. Perhaps it is due to the high blood pressure and heart problems he has had to deal with since he had complications from typhoid some time ago. Please pray that God will help him and encourage him. Pray for him to get well if that is the Lord's will. When the Apostle Paul gives Christians the description of the Christians' armour in Ephesians chapter 6, he urges the Christian to be "Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints." (v.18)
Finally, Dad and Mom asked that people pray that God will use his word to work in hearts. Dad has preached the overview of the book of Romans and has now begun to go through the book of Romans verse by verse. He and Mom are praying that the Lord will use this in the lives of the Owena people to change their hearts and to direct them in the paths of righteousness and to motivate them to live their lives fully for the Lord.
Thank you to all those who pray. Dad and Mom expressed thanks today for the churches and individuals who have faithfully prayed for them and given to them. God bless you all.
