A friend gave us some encouraging and comforting words today. We know that many are praying.
Tonight the Lord also gave a blessing as I listened to the testimony of a lady and her husband who went through some very deep waters. The lady took comfort in knowing that Jesus was the same after her trial started as He was before she knew what she and her family would be facing. One of the verses mentioned at the end of this couple’s testimony was Isaiah 45:3. I looked it up and saw that it contained great encouragement. What consolation it gives as it is a reminder that the Lord is with Dad and Mom and that He remembers them by their names and cares for them.
“And I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that thou mayest know that I, the LORD, which call thee by thy name, am the God of Israel.” (Isaiah 45:3)
