February 21. Heard some rain during the night. It has been very cool, cloudy and windy all day. Was thankful I was able to get a fire going in the wood stove this morning. It has been going all day. I got the wood stove going after my breakfast, quiet time, and talk time with Daddy. Then I swept the office and kitchen floors. Wanted to sweep the bedroom floor too, but my back was hurting and the broom handle is broken so I had to hold it down low which meant bending over a bit.
Planned to shorten classes a bit this morning to give time for the students to help Daddy carry cargo. However, I ended up shortening them more than I planned. Toward the end of Bible class, Dallas told me that Matthew wanted them to practice three songs to sing at outreach at the market in Waisara. He said they would be going this afternoon. So we went a bit overtime in Bible class to practice the three songs. We shortened phonics class and started math class earlier. We just did some drill, a game, and their speed drill in math class. We didn’t do any lesson today. Started Oral English class early, and got a little start on their dialogue recitation before the plane came - about 10:45. After they had helped Daddy bring cargo down, we finished Oral English. They had their lunch around 12:00. After lunch, they had their spelling quiz and finished up the English lesson we started on Wednesday.
Some of the men helped Daddy hook up the new generator. Papindo had given him a new one in exchange for the one that went bad. That was a special blessing as they do not have any warranty or replacement policy. The boss just decided to do that out of kindness. Praise the Lord that we have a generator again. We trust that it will perform longer than the other one.
I’m very thankful to have Daddy back home again. It is hard for me to keep up with everything by myself. He did most of the unpacking and putting away while I finished school. I did the rest this afternoon and evening, besides fixing chicken ‘n’ rice for supper and getting new Bible school lessons ready to print this evening. Am thankful that Daddy was able to get black 5 ink cartridges this time so we can do printing. I still need to finish grading today’s work, and then I need to record the grades.
I did not do laundry this evening as planned because my legs and back were already too tired from being on my feet so much. I did do the dishes, however. Now it is about 7:45. Daddy is teaching Bible school.

February 22. Another very cool day. It warmed up a bit this afternoon, but we kept the wood stove going at a minimum so Daddy wouldn’t have to make another fire to heat our bathwater this evening.
Had a hard time getting up this morning, but finally managed to extract myself from the bed a little after 6:00. That was enough time for breakfast and Bible reading before lotu. After lotu, Daddy started the generator, and I did the laundry. It wasn’t sunny outside, but it was warmer out than in and it felt good to get out and hang the clothes.
While clothes were washing, I graded spelling and English lessons that I hadn’t had a chance to get to yesterday. And after hanging the clothes, I got busy writing lessons. At 11:00, we sat down to call Christy and Connie, not realizing they were in meetings at church. (We’ll call them next week instead.) So back to lesson writing until lunch time.
After lunch we got the clothes in. Some of them weren’t quite dry, but we didn’t know if it would rain or not while we were sleeping. Just a few to hang in the house. And I needed the fitted sheet to get the bed made up before nap.
Was thankful for a good nap. Afterward I cut up the other popo, but it didn’t taste good either. So I cut both yesterday’s and today’s popo into little pieces, put them in a pan, added a little raw sugar, and put them on the wood stove to start cooking for this coming week’s pancakes.
Then I went to see what things I needed to get ready for printing this evening. I knew that I needed to do the students’ copy of the Bible lesson, but didn’t realize I hadn’t finished writing the teacher’s lesson yet. So the rest of the afternoon was spent writing the rest of the lesson and then getting the students’ copy set up.
After supper and dishes, I had to get the students’ copy of the next soul-winning lesson set up so that could be printed this evening also. So the evening has been busy with that and other printing.
Matthew has been here teaching discipleship classes this evening. Not very many of the new believers showed up, however.
Please pray for more new believers to come so that they can grow in grace and in the knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ.
