Studying Rocks

October 26.  It is after 6:30.  I just got done in the kitchen and am happy to sit down.  No rain last night or today other than some little sprinkles.  This morning before school, I worked on organizing my song file so I can see what other songs to choose for the choir to sing during the New Year’s meetings.  (I’d really like to write some more to go with the theme of the meetings – The Last Days, the Great Tribulation, God’s judgments, etc.)   After opening prayer in Bible class this morning, I had the students write notes to their families inviting them to the closing program for the school next Friday.  Then they practiced all their verses and songs to sing during the program.  They harmonize and sing so well, and sound like a nice youth choir.  Too bad there isn’t someone to work with them and teach them music.

In English class, we did some writing, had a spelling quiz, and learned some more consonant blends.

In science class, we looked at some more stones.  Esau had a white stone that looked like it might have chalk in it.  So we did the test that was suggested in the little book on rocks and minerals and it showed positive for chalk.  Most of the other stones, we have pretty much been guessing as to what they are.  A lot of them do have mica in them, and some have quartz.  Most of them appear to be a mixture of different types.  Esau had another rock that had a clear print of a flower on it.

After nap, I graded the writing pages and the spelling quiz.  Then worked more on organizing the songs.  Closer to supper time, I made orange sugar cookies for Daddy.  Then got supper and did dishes.

“28Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.  29Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.  30For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”  Matthew 11:28-30

Rain!  Rain!  Rain!

October 24.  It is just about 6:30.  At about 6:00, when it was time for Daddy to start the generator, very heavy rain started falling.  Sounds like it is slowing down now so Daddy is going out to start the generator.  Oops!  Sounds like there will be more coming.  I hear rolling, rumbling thunder out there.  Looks like Daddy will cancel Bible school for this evening.  The men just got back from a day in the bush cutting down trees for the church building.  The school boys went after school to help them.  Two of the men and two of the school boys are here now, waiting out the rain before going home.  We are happy to see them starting to put some feet to their prayers and gathering materials for the church building.

Even though it was foggy this morning, people came at a good time for lotu.  Since we started somewhat early, we finished somewhat early and were able to start and finish school early.  Daddy continued teaching this morning on things that we have in Christ, talking about the Christian’s armor and about joy.

We only had English class and science class today since we finished math yesterday with the second half of the final exam.

Afterward I got all the grading and recording of grades done and got everything together for tomorrow.  Before I warmed up dinner, I even had time to start figuring out who would be getting what awards at the closing program.  I also started gathering some prizes for school game day and thinking about what games to play.  Then I figured out the costs of next year’s school books so I can give the parents a summary of their school costs for the year.

“22And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved….  24The disciple is not above his master, nor the servant above his lord.  25It is enough for the disciple that he be as his master, and the servant as his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more shall they call them of his household?  26Fear them not therefore: for there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not be known.  27What I tell you in darkness, that speak ye in light: and what ye hear in the ear, that preach ye upon the housetops.  28And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.”  Matthew 10:22-28

October 25.  Rained and rained and rained during the night.  The world was pretty wet this morning.  It has been a pretty warm day, though, and no rain to speak of.

This morning after breakfast, quiet time, and walking, I worked on games for the kids’ fun day next Wednesday.  We practiced all the verses this morning in Bible class, finished the rest of Genesis chapter 50, played a quiz game, and then they took their test on the last two lessons.  That finishes their Bible lessons for the year.  Tomorrow, Monday, and Tuesday, we will concentrate on practicing for the program and making decorations.  If there is time left, we will play some Bible quiz games.

For science class today, we spent time looking at their stone collections and trying to determine what kind of stones they were.

After school, Graham and Esau cut firewood, and Bonita and Sunny did some food preparation.

This afternoon, there was just a little grading to do and record and a few things to get ready for tomorrow.  Then I finished getting game things and prizes together for game day.  Also tried writing a song for the choir to sing during the New Year meetings, but I couldn’t seem to come up with what I wanted.  Daddy cut up pumpkin for me, and I made mashed potatoes for supper to go with the pumpkin.  I also cooked a couple ears of corn for David who had been here all day splitting bamboo and then laying a floor on the back porch.

This evening, after doing dishes, the Lord helped me to get a song written to the tune of “Why Must I Die?”  Daddy has been working on trying to get the school video to work with the projector, but so far we have not been successful.

“37He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.  38And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.  39He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.”  Matthew 10:37-39

Plenty to Do

October 22.  It is almost 9:00 already.  I didn’t get up quite as early this morning.  Warmed up pancakes for our breakfast.  Cut up an apple and cooked it to go on top of my pancakes since the other fruit was all gone.  I have been enjoying the apples that Daddy brought back from town.

Had breakfast and quiet time.  Got the bed made.  Did some walking and praying.  Erased the review lesson in Sunny’s math book as I had forgotten to do that yesterday.  Had a few minutes to put some paint on the Nicodemus visual.  I thought I might get it done in time for class, but I didn’t.  Worked on it this evening before and after bath, and finished it up.  The background had never been painted, and the picture needed a little more color.

Had the students practice all their verses this morning in Bible class, and we sang them all.  Then we read some verses from Genesis chapter 50 before reviewing the beginning of the story of Nicodemus that we had covered in class on Friday.  Then we covered more of the lesson and just have one small part to cover tomorrow after review.

They did part 1 of their math test today and did well on that.  Three of the students got 100%.  We did not have science class today as some of the students needed more time to finish their math exam.

After school, Sunny and Bonita prepared uxai and onions to cook, and husked corn that we will put out in the sun to dry.  Then they folded the clothes that were washed on Saturday.  I have decided to save that job for them, and that will give me a little bit more time to do other things.

This afternoon, I finished grading their math exams and recorded today’s grades.  Then I computed their final averages for their math worksheets.  By then it was time to get supper.  Spaghetti night tonight.  Cooked up the rest of the sausages to go in the sauce.

After doing dishes, I worked on painting until my bath water was hot, and finished painting after my bath.  Got things together for tomorrow’s classes.  Printed out part two of their math exam.  And now, I am finally writing in my journal.

“And as Jesus passed forth from thence, he saw a man, named Matthew, sitting at the receipt of custom: and he saith unto him, Follow me. And he arose, and followed him.”  Matthew 9:9

October 23.  Wasn’t planning to get up as early as I did this morning, but a bad cramp in my leg forced me out of bed.  But that was okay, as there is always plenty to do.  After breakfast, quiet time, and walking, I finished finding the animal pictures that I need for the school movie, and copied all those plus recent school pictures onto a flash drive to go in the other computer.  The movie is in the other computer because this computer does not have movie maker.

Then it was off to school for the morning.  We practiced all our songs this morning and finished the lesson on Nicodemus.  Then we reviewed the previous lesson as the test will cover both lessons.  There was a little time left so I gave them plastic party bags to put their parents’ gifts in and ribbon to tie the bags with.

They did part two of their math exam this morning so math is now completely finished for the year.  Sunny had her chapter 4 math exam and will stop there for this year.  We will concentrate on science in that time slot for the next few days.  While she was finishing up, Phinehas said his verses for the term and got his prize.

We had leftover spaghetti and pumpkin for dinner.  I finished grading the math exams while dinner was warming up.  Then this afternoon, I got today’s grades recorded and things together for tomorrow before working on the school movie.  Finished that this evening and it is now ready for showing so we hope the computer and projector will work okay together.  We have not used our projector with that computer before.

“36But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd.  37Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; 38Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.”  Matthew 9:36-38

Rat Hunt!

October 20.  It’s raining out there, and rivers of water are running down the mountainside.  We thought this morning, when the weather felt very hot and stuffy, that there would be rain later today.  It is time to start the generator, but Daddy is waiting until the rain lets up a bit.

About 3:00 a.m., I had to get up; and when I went into the kitchen, I heard a rat go scampering away.  I wondered what he was into.  When I came back across the kitchen, I saw pumpkin leaves on the floor.  Hmmm, a greens-eating rat.  Usually the rats don’t eat the greens or onions so I don’t bother to put them in the cupboard at night, especially when there isn’t much room in the cupboard, like now.  Well, I went ahead and put the greens in the cupboard before getting back into bed.  By then, however, I was somewhat awake, and was having trouble getting back to sleep.  Soon I heard the rat again.  What was he chewing on now?  I shone my flashlight into the kitchen to see if that would scare him off.  I guess it did temporarily as I didn’t hear any more noise for a while.  Tried again to get back to sleep, but soon heard him in another part of the house chewing on something else.  This time, I got out of bed and went on a rat hunt.  Couldn’t find where he was (or had been) or what he had been chewing on.  But I did not hear him again the rest of the night.  Did not sleep well the rest of the night either so almost fell asleep in lotu this morning.

When morning dawned, I got up and sorted out the clothes.  Then had breakfast and quiet time.

In lotu, Matthew taught about our being a chosen, holy people, using Colossians 3:12 as his text.

After lotu, Daddy turned on the generator, and I started the wash.  There were only two loads today so was able to get done quickly and get them hung out quickly.  I enjoyed being out in the sunshine, but was also glad not to have to be out any longer because the sun was so hot, and it was so humid.

Five of the school boys stayed and cut grass after lotu.  All seven of them were planning to work, but Graham and Sosthenes had gone with Philemon to Pinata yesterday afternoon and didn’t get back this morning until the work was almost done.  So the money was divided among the five of them.  Now most of the boys have their debt paid off for the gifts they bought for their parents.

After hanging clothes, I swept the meeting room and cleaned the chalkboard.  Then I got a mid-morning snack and sat down with Daddy to talk to Christy and Connie.  We weren’t able to call the first Saturday of the month as we usually do because Daddy had gone to town.  Then last week we forgot.  So we were happy to talk with them this week.

After we said good-bye to Christy and Connie, we let the boys know what their work earnings and balance was.  Then Graham and Sosthenes each came and said all their verses for the term.  After that, I went back to painting the school banner that I had started painting last evening while Daddy was in Bible school.  Just before noon, I cut up the rest of the pumpkin that Daddy had cut half of the other day, peeled it, and put it on to cook for dinner.  Then put some of the leftover rice and chicken gravy on to warm.  When we finished eating, we got the clothes in and then had our nap.  I was tired after last night’s rat episode so slept about an hour and a half.

This afternoon, I finished painting the banner.  Then I wrote a few e-mails and sent those before getting supper.  Had supper, did dishes, and then cleaned the bathroom.  I am looking forward to our big bath tonight.

“25Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?  26Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?”  Matthew 6:25,26

October 21.  Up before 6:00 this morning.  Got pancakes made for Daddy and some for myself.  Enjoyed breakfast, quiet time, and time for walking and praying.  Got the Corinthian booklets stapled that I had printed last night and Daddy had collated.  Took a couple pictures of the school banner I had painted.  Worked on lesson plans for English, math and science for this coming week.  Worked at the computer a while until church time.  Went out in the sunshine a little while and helped a couple of the little girls pick some flowers to put in the meeting room.

Daddy preached this morning on I Corinthians 1:10-17a and this afternoon on 17b-20.  Between meetings, the church folks made some decisions regarding beginning work on the new church building.  They have decided to start gathering poles this week.

My legs were hurting too much to sit in my chair in the meeting room for the second meeting.  So I went and sat in my recliner with my legs up.  I can easily hear the preaching in there.  However, I’ll have to admit, I did not hear much of the preaching today.  I must have drifted off to sleep shortly after Daddy started preaching, and woke up when he started preaching on the last verse.  When the meeting was over, I went out and gave some little food items to our elderly church members.

Bethuel stayed and said his Bible verses.  Then we lay down a few minutes - a short nap for Daddy, and another cat nap for me.  After that, I washed my hair; then cut Daddy’s hair.  Wrote a few e-mails before getting supper.  When dishes were done, I started getting things together for school tomorrow, did some printing, finished making part 2 of the math exam, and have been going back and forth writing answers on the chalkboard for soul-winning class.  People came early this evening for soul-winning class so Daddy was able to get started earlier than usual.

“30Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?  31Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?  32(For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.  33But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.  34Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.”  Matthew 6:30-34

Praying for Souls to be Saved

October 14.  It is 6:30 p.m.  It has been raining steadily, with thunder and lightning, for over 1 1/2 hours now.  We thank the Lord for a lovely morning.  I was up early and got pancakes made — wheat pancakes for Daddy and rice pancakes for myself.  Made the bed while my pancakes were cooking.  Then I had my breakfast and read my Bible.  It was such a nice morning, I decided to go out in the sunshine and walk around and pray.  I remarked when I went out how dry the ground was and that we needed rain.  The Lord sent the rain this evening.

After I came back inside, I finished up the quarterly newsletter and started getting journal notes ready to send to Christy and Connie.  Then I wrote an e-mail and tried to send it.  The Digicel box said there were two bars, and it said it was connecting; but it would never finish connecting.  We will try again this evening if the rain lets up.

People came early this morning.  There was a good group here, including a number of visitors.  Daddy gave Matthew time to finish up his talk on John chapter 3.
Mata had cooked food for everybody so they all had a meal in between meetings while we had our dinner.  It was good to see Penina here today for the first time in many months.  Apekio was not here — is sick with a bad cold.  And Esau was out sick too.  Betty went home sick after the first meeting.  Janeth and Kelly were here today.  Oh, that they would get saved!  And the new medical worker (male) came also.

Daddy preached the second meeting, continuing with I Corinthians, chapter 1 verses 4-9.  It was after 2:30  when we went for nap, and we slept about an hour.  Afterward I got things together for school tomorrow.  By then it was just about supper time.  While I was doing dishes, I suddenly had an “oh-no” thought – we were supposed to have called Christy and Connie yesterday morning.

We are supposed to resume soul-winning classes this evening so we’ll see how many come in this rainy weather.

“19And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.  20And they straightway left their nets, and followed him.”  Matthew 4:19,20

Is it Dry Season or Rainy Season?

10/15/2012

October 12.  Another hot, sweaty day.  One cannot say that it is dry season or rainy season or whether it will be cold or warm or rainy or dry.  The weather is completely unpredictable.  It may be rainy season for a few days and then dry season for a few days.  The rainy season may be warm or too cold; the dry season may be cold or too warm.  The best thing to do is just take each day as it comes.  The sun comes up early now so have been getting up a bit earlier in the morning.  I was glad to have extra time this morning to finish getting things together for science today as I didn’t have time to do that last night.  I even had time to fold the clothes before school.

After school today, Graham and Sosthenes stayed and cut firewood.  It was supposed to be Phinehas’s turn to work with Graham, but he was not up to it so Sosthenes took his place.  Bonita and Sunny peeled potatoes and cut them up, husked corn and put it in the sun, cleaned out the ditch behind the house, and pulled weeds.

This afternoon, I got today’s papers graded and got the English lesson plans done.  I had started the Bible plans yesterday and finished them in school this morning.  I also got some things put away that were still in boxes.  Made mashed potatoes for Daddy for supper; and I mixed the leftover rice with some onion, eggs, salt and pepper, and made it into a big omelet for my supper.  Made a sausage gravy to go on our food and warmed up leftover veggies.  Just finished doing the dishes a little bit ago.

“16I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.  17And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.  18For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: 19And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.  20He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.”  Revelation 22:16-20

October 13.  It got a little cooler last night, but didn’t take long to start warming up.  Around mid-morning, however, we were surprised that it started getting cooler, windier, and cloudier.  The Lord sent us some light showers; and by mid-afternoon, the sunshine and warm air was back.

Somebody rang the lotu bell for the other church at 5:40 this morning.  People started arriving for prayer meeting here at 6:30, a half hour before scheduled time.  It was nice to start early though.  David had charge this morning and shared various verses on how to pray.

After lotu, I cleaned the meeting room.  Sorted out yarn and got that put away.  Changed the sheets and made the bed.  Daddy turned on the generator for an hour so I printed out copies of I and II Corinthians to give to folks in church tomorrow since Daddy is teaching from the translation that we have done ourselves.  We were very thankful that Daddy had gotten a new ink cartridge, as the ink ran out shortly after I started.  We were also very thankful that it worked, because the new worker at MAF put it in the freezer at the hangar over night.  It was in a repack box that originally had bottled water, and he must have thought Daddy wanted the water to be cold.  :-)

Next I revised the monthly update and printed out a copy to proofread.  After the generator went off, I worked on the individual monthly updates, added a picture to the kidznewzletter, and started the quarterly newsletter.  Put the students’ new Bible lessons in their folders and made some changes in Sunny’s math book from English to metric measures.  Can’t remember what else I did.

We had leftovers for lunch and then a nice much-needed long nap.  We were a little late getting to nap since several people came to the door after we had our dinner.  Still had math and science lessons to plan for this coming week so worked on those this afternoon and finished them this evening.  Put some eggs on to boil for our egg salad sandwiches for supper.  Washed greens and onions and got them ready to cook for dinner tomorrow.

After supper and dishes, I washed the kitchen floor and the platform in the meeting room.  Also a little spot on the floor where somebody had spilled lemonade on Wednesday.  Then I cleaned the bathroom.

There had been no water almost all day.  Kelly worked on the lines most of the day trying to fix the problem.  He had to open all the joins and clean out the lines.  We were thankful to have water again late this afternoon.  Then we were able to have a real bath this evening.

“But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.”  Matthew 4:4

A Flurry of Activity

October 10 & 11.  By the time I got everything else done that I needed to do last night, I was too tired to think straight to write in my journal.  So I’ll put yesterday and today together, although I am not too sure I can remember yesterday’s events.  No way to add more memory to this ancient computer in my head, and I think it is already pretty full.

Yesterday, the 10th, was the day for Daddy to come home from town.  The Lord was good and gave a good clear morning.  Daddy wasn’t scheduled to come in until around noon anyway so things should have been fine by then.  One never knows though.  Sometimes the weather becomes cloudy and rainy around noon.

After I got up  and got the fire started, I fixed my breakfast, ate and had quiet time.  Then I got the refreshments together for Sunny’s birthday party and made a jug of lemonade.  By then it was almost lotu time.  I went and unlocked the front door so people could come in.  Matthew was already out there waiting.  It was about five to seven.  He came and put his books on the bench and then went out to wait for other people to come.  I got the bed made and some other things done while I was waiting for people to come in.

The meeting started about 7:20.  Tomas was supposed to be in charge, but he was sick.  Matthew took his place.  We sang a few songs, and then Matthew gave a short message based on James 2:1.  It was a good message about not lifting up some people and putting down others.  Then there were prayer requests, and a short time of prayer.

Since the meeting finished before 8:30, I thought I would go ahead and start school early so we could try to get finished before Daddy came.  I think it was close to 8:45 before we got started.
We started English class and were in the middle of a new phonics lesson when we heard the roar of the plane engine.  They had changed Daddy’s to the first flight — not unusual for the flight program to change.  By this time, fog had risen up out of the valley and was blocking the approach.  However, it was really fast moving fog; and by the time the plane had circled a couple times, it was almost completely gone.  I don’t remember seeing fog move so fast before.

I let the class go and help carry cargo.  After the people had brought everything down and I had welcomed Daddy home, class was resumed.

We finished English class, had recess, and then a short math class.  The students had fun doing some observations of different properties of liquids for science class.  Then we had a birthday party for Sunny.

Daddy and I had sandwiches for lunch.  After nap, there was lots of work to do.  I was thankful that Daddy had put away a lot of the food while I was in school.  I didn’t have any grades to record today so I was thankful for that too.  I did have to get things ready for Thursday’s classes.  I put away things that Daddy didn’t know what to do with.  I bagged up each students’ gifts that Daddy had gotten for them to give their parents at the school closing and figured out how much each one owes.

For supper, I fixed chicken and gravy to go over the rice I had cooked yesterday, and there were leftover greens as well.  After supper, I did dishes, cleaned and reorganized some shelves in the tall cupboard and the dishes cupboard above the sink.  Will have to do the rest another time.  Then I had a bath and a snack and finished gathering things that I need for science experiments the next day.  By that time it was late, but I wanted to send an e-mail off to Christy and Connie so did that.  Then I read the e-mails that came in while Daddy was in town.  When I finished that, it was after 9:00, and my brain was no longer functioning so the journal got left for this evening.  Now it is Thursday, the 11th, and already 8:30 p.m.  I am waiting for bath water to heat so I can have a bath again.  It has been another very warm, sweaty day.

I got up about 5:45 this morning and got the laundry sorted out.  Then Daddy went and turned on the generator so I could start washing the clothes.  The Lord gave us a beautiful morning.  There has been no rain today.

While the clothes were washing, I made cooked rice cereal, then ate breakfast and read Bible.  There was lots of wash since it had been a week since last wash day.  The clothes filled up all the lines today, and I didn’t get back in the house until 8:00.  I was thankful for at least 10 minutes to sit and relax in the recliner and pray before going off to school.

It is now 9:30.  Enjoyed a nice refreshing bath.  Then figured out what to do for math tomorrow and photo copied a couple worksheets.  Still have to get some things together for science.

Let’s see, where was I before I went to bath.  We finished our Bible lesson this morning and didn’t really have time to do a project afterward.  So I gave each one a little paper with the cost of their items and how much they owe.  Then I let them look through things.  Then they had a short break, and we went to English class.  We did some writing, had a spelling quiz, and studied four new consonant blends.  After recess, we reviewed Roman numerals, fractions, and division facts.  Then they did a worksheet with division problems and review of finding sum and difference.  In science class, we read about and did some hands-on observations about gases and their properties.

Finished school a little after noon and had sandwiches for lunch.  Daddy had already brought the clothes in which was a blessing.  At nap time, I slept a lot longer than I had intended so didn’t get everything ready for school until this evening.  And I still have a little bit to do.  This afternoon, I graded papers and recorded grades.  Then husked uxai and cut it up with some broccoli to cook for supper.  I had it all cut up when there was a knock on the door.  Apekio had brought greens.  When I went back to the kitchen, I had forgotten that I hadn’t put water in the pan with the veggies, and I turned on the burner to start them cooking.  Then I started getting things ready for making cookies.  When Daddy came out after shaving and washing, he said he smelled something burning.  Oh, no!  No water in the pan!  I hurriedly took it off the burner, let it cool down a bit, then added water and put it back on.  I was thankful it hadn’t burned too badly, and it actually tasted pretty good.

I made chocolate chip cookies for Daddy.  Then I put the leftover rice and chicken gravy on to warm for supper along with our “smoked” veggies.

Kitchen cleanup took a while this evening.  Then I was finally able to start getting things together for school tomorrow.  So I guess that about ends the day as it will be bedtime in a very short while.  I will be happy to go to bed.

The Lord answered some specific prayers this past week.  I had prayed that the weather would not be too cold so I would not have to run back and forth and try to keep the fire going while I was teaching school.  The Lord gave a very warm week.  I also prayed that there wouldn’t be any rats while Daddy was gone, and there weren’t.  I am very thankful.  I also prayed that more packages would come before Daddy came back to Owena, and they did.  How good God is!  I thank Him for caring for His children even in the little things.

“….worship God.”  Revelation 22:9b
