March 16. Daddy let me sleep in until 7:00 this morning. That was a blessing. The weather was quite nasty - cold and rainy and windy.
Mike had charge of lotu this morning. He did a good job teaching, using notes from his Bible school classes. I was thankful for Rebeka and Eren staying to sweep the meeting room floor.
I was glad not to have to wash clothes today. I relaxed in the recliner and crocheted a bit. Changed the bed sheets. Started an e-mail to Christy and Connie. Got bread made and in the pans to rise. Sorted through peas that Daddy had gotten in town - a few of them had turned brown; and peeled some carrots. Put those on to cook for dinner. I was about to warm up leftovers when Jenny called to see how I was doing. So our dinner ended up being a little later than planned. And so did our nap.
When I got up from nap, I had my bitter herbs and put the bread in the oven. Washed the chalkboard. Put some eggs on to boil for sandwiches for supper. (The wood stove was still going and wasn’t let out until late evening after our baths.) Then wrote more in C & C’s e-mail.
I enjoyed the fresh bread for supper. After doing up the dishes, I cleaned the bathtub so it would be ready for our baths.
“Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.” John 8:34
March 17. Was up quite a bit during the night so was pretty tired today. Took a little nap before dinner and a better nap afterward.
The Lord gave us a pretty nice day today and more sunshine than we have had for a while. I wanted to go outside for a while this afternoon, but needed to wash my hair.
Made pancakes and syrup for Daddy this morning and corn pancakes for myself with fruit syrup made from canned pears in fruit juice. After breakfast and quiet time, I wrote yesterday’s journal notes which I didn’t get a chance to do last night. Then got this month’s update written.
There were 80-some in the meeting again this morning. Daddy preached on I Corinthians 7:32 to the end of the chapter in the first meeting and chapter 8:1-3 in the second meeting. He woke up feeling dizzy and weak this morning, but the Lord gave him strength to preach. He rested between meetings and felt a little better before the second meeting.
During my rest periods in the recliner today, I finished up the baby afghan I had been working on.
Phinehas and Dallas came this evening when Daddy turned on the generator so they could practice keyboard. Now people are here for soul-winning class. It is raining gently.
Amos and Matthew have gone to Pinata with Javin. He got word that his mother passed away.
