September 13. A little rain falling this evening. Praise the Lord for a good amount of sunshine this morning, enough to dry the clothes and eventually warm up the house a bit. Daddy did not start a fire this morning, but has one going this evening to heat water for our baths.
As soon as we were up and dressed this morning, he started the generator and we did the laundry. Daddy had his breakfast too, but I wasn’t able to get to mine until we were done. Finished breakfast just about in time for lotu. Tomas talked this morning on the salvation of the Philippian jailor, showing that sometimes adverse situations in our lives are God’s will so that other people can be reached with the Gospel.
We talked with Christy and Connie, a bright spot in my day. I did rest a little better this afternoon and thank the Lord for giving rest.
After nap, I washed my hair before finishing up the translation of those letters. Then I got supper going - rice with chicken gravy, leftover carrots and broccoli. While rice was cooking, I started setting up journal notes for Christy and Connie.
“Take ye from among you an offering unto the LORD: whosoever is of a willing heart, let him bring it, an offering of the LORD….” Exodus 35:5
Please pray as there were parts of that day that were very hard and very sorrowful for Mom and Dad. The ministry is going through a dark valley right now. Thanks so much for holding Mom and Dad and all the Owena people up in prayer. “Groanings which cannot be uttered are often prayers which cannot be refused.” – Charles Spurgeon
