April 7. Praise the Lord for a good day around the Word. The Lord gave us some nice sunshine today too, and even an early morning rainbow, faintly seen through the fog.
Breakfast was pancakes as usual. It takes a long time to make two batches so it was 8:00 before my batch was done and I sat down to eat. After breakfast and quiet time, there was work to do in the computer. Need a new lesson for Bible class this week. We still have some work left from last week so I don’t need the new lesson right away, but will need it by Thursday.
Sat through half of morning lotu, and then took a nap. Daddy spoke today on I Corinthians 10:1-4. It went along well with observing of the Lord’s Supper as he referred back to the manna given to Israel in the wilderness as a picture of Christ. Between meetings, we had our dinner; Lilian and Apekio came and poured the grape juice; and then the school choir came in and I helped them practice for the songs they were to sing for our special song Sunday.
Matthew had charge of the second meeting which started with the Lord’s Supper and was followed by the special music. There were only two groups today - Daniel & family, and the school choir. Daniel and family sang “Jesus Loves the Little Children.” The school choir sang three songs. It was after 3:00 before we finished and got our afternoon nap.
This afternoon, I finished up the Bible lesson I had started in the morning.
“ Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” John 14:6
April 8. The Lord gave us a lovely day today and no rain. The wind was really strong and gusty off and on throughout the day.
Before school this morning, I swept the bathroom and got the five multiplication poster put together.
There was LOTS of grading to do this afternoon. I wasn’t able to get much done during class. After I got done with grading, I fixed supper - carrot/onion/uxai medley; corn cakes for myself. Daddy had a baked-in-the-fire kaukau which Graham cooked for him and brought up at supper time. I also made chocolate chip cookies for Daddy. There were also LOTS of dishes so I was thankful for Daddy’s help with part of those.
David and Nandana did some work on the airstrip today.
“12Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. 13And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.” John 14:12-14
