Daddy had to hang the clothes out himself this morning.
For dinner, I had more of the plain rice that I had fixed yesterday, as well as some pumpkin. Then I finished up lesson plans while Daddy had his nap. After that, I was ready for another nap. Even though it was mid-afternoon and the weather was fairly warm, I was still cold so crawled under the covers again.
After nap, I washed my hair. Then I got journal notes ready to send to Christy and Connie.
Thankful to be feeling a fair bit better this afternoon and evening. Stomach seems to be settling down, but I do still have a bad headache. I hope Daddy doesn’t get sick, especially since it is almost time for him to go to town.
After supper I got an e-mail written for C&C and then got things ready that needed to be printed as soon as the generator went on. A handful of youth came to practice singing; but by 7:30 there were still only a handful so they went home. Wilson is here now having his Bible school lesson. He usually comes before the youth come to sing because he sings with them, but he couldn’t get into his house and get his books because his mother was gone with the key.
“Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.” Philippians 4:4
July 27. Early this morning it looked like we might have another sunny day, but the sunshine didn’t stay around long. The day turned out to be cloudy with strong, chilly, damp winds. Once again Daddy kept the fire going all day.
I was thankful to be feeling a good bit better today although not completely better. As Daddy and I were talking over my symptoms today, I realized that I have about all the same symptoms I had when I had typhoid (?) a little less than two years ago.
I was glad I felt well enough to make Daddy his pancakes this morning. After breakfast and quiet time, I worked on the next school Bible lesson. It should be the last one for this term.
Lotu started closer to scheduled time this morning, with just a couple handfuls of people. Some people never showed up until 11:00 (an hour late) or later. Quite a few people are sick. Even some of those who came were not feeling well - Amos, Matthew, and others. Matthew preached this morning on II Corinthians 11:1-4.
After dinner, I had a fairly long nap, but I only had one nap today. This afternoon, I made a popo crisp which we had later for supper. Made sure lessons were ready for tomorrow and wrote some practice work on the chalkboard. Then I started an e-mail to C&C. Finished that after supper. Then played the keyboard for a while until time for soul-winning class to start.
“9For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; 10That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; 11Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness….” Colossians 1:9-11
