Wasn’t quite so warm last night. Thank you, Lord for a better night’s sleep. I remembered to put cushions under the head of the mattress so my head would be slightly elevated. That helped a lot. And no bad dreams that I remember.
Ate breakfast out on the veranda again. Studied the first 11 verses of Acts 5. We called Christy and Connie and talked with them for about 25 minutes. That was a special blessing. Worked a bit on meri bung notes for Friday and ideas for visuals. I’ll have to get visuals made as soon as we get back. Listened to one of Evangelist Schwanke’s sermons. I was going to work on crocheting while we were listening, but discovered I did not have my crochet hook with me. So jotted down some visual ideas instead.
Then we went down to the deck for lunch. We finally ordered grilled chicken sandwiches and cappuccino. The cappuccino was served with sugar cookies. The sugar cookies were good, but the coffee very strong and bitter. I did not drink all of mine. The chicken sandwich was good — had lots of tomatoes on it, also lettuce and mayonnaise. It was served with a large helping of chips, and the chips were really good. I couldn’t eat all of mine — got too full.
After that, we had a nap. Then I wrote a letter.
After nap, we played dominoes a while. Then went out for ice cream. Came back and finished our dominoes game. Had supper a bit later while we were finishing the game. Daddy won of course. Then we played a different dominoes game. I won that one. In the middle of that one, we went down to the deck to get another bottle of filtered water. Well, wouldn’t you know, there was a nice buffet out on the deck. It wasn’t that there is no buffet on Sunday. We just needed to wait until evening. Oh, well, too late now. I guess we’ll play a game of Boggle next.
"As is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly." 1Corinthians 15:48 The head and members are of one nature, and not like that monstrous image which Nebuchadnezzar saw in his dream. The head was of fine gold, but the belly and thighs were of brass, the legs of iron, and the feet, part of iron and part of clay. Christ's mystical body is no absurd combination of opposites; the members were mortal, and therefore Jesus died; the glorified head is immortal, and therefore the body is immortal too, for thus the record stands, "Because I live, ye shall live also." As is our loving Head, such is the body, and every member in particular. A chosen Head and chosen members; an accepted Head, and accepted members; a living Head, and living members. If the head be pure gold, all the parts of the body are of pure gold also. Thus is there a double union of nature as a basis for the closest communion. Pause here, devout reader, and see if thou canst without ecstatic amazement, contemplate the infinite condescension of the Son of God in thus exalting thy wretchedness into blessed union with His glory. Thou art so mean that in remembrance of thy mortality, thou mayest say to corruption, "Thou art my father," and to the worm, "Thou art my sister"; and yet in Christ thou art so honoured that thou canst say to the Almighty, "Abba, Father," and to the Incarnate God, "Thou art my brother and my husband." Surely if relationships to ancient and noble families make men think highly of themselves, we have whereof to glory over the heads of them all. Let the poorest and most despised believer lay hold upon this privilege; let not a senseless indolence make him negligent to trace his pedigree, and let him suffer no foolish attachment to present vanities to occupy his thoughts to the exclusion of this glorious, this heavenly honour of union with Christ. —Morning and Evening
Praise the Lord for another good night’s rest. We got up a little before 6:30 this morning. Finished packing up. Then went down to the deck for breakfast. Had the light breakfast bar — fruit, yogurt, cereal, juices, toast. For drink, I had hot chamomile tea and Daddy had hot milo. Enjoyed watermelon and papaya, a bowl of sultana bran and corn flakes topped with dried apples and yogurt, and a couple slices of multi-grain toast with honey. Daddy’s breakfast was similar, but no yogurt. After breakfast, we filled in a survey form about the hotel. Then got all our stuff together and were ready to go. Let the cleaning ladies know that we were ready. Left a tract and K10 tip each for Gabi and for Shirlyn. Gabi gave me a big hug. Shirlyn and one of the other cleaning ladies helped us carry our stuff out to the truck. Had to stop at the desk first and pay our bill. Praise God for a nice weekend together. It was so nice to have a real bath three nights in a row too.
Took stuff over to the CRMF house. Then Daddy went to the radio and I wrote an e-mail to Christy and Connie. After that we went to Papindos and SVS to do some shopping. Came back to the house for lunch. I had a nap after lunch, and Daddy went out shopping again. Must have been tired as I slept over an hour. Woke up when I heard Daddy come back in. He went out again, and I wrote more e-mails. Fixed noodles, lentils, and zucchini for supper. The zucchini really tasted good this evening.
Wrote another couple e-mails. Then cleaned up the kitchen and washed dishes. More e-mails after that. Still have a few to write, but the brain is starting to slow down tonight. Tomorrow will be another day, or perhaps it will be the beginning of eternity.
