October 16. No rain last night. Woke up to fog this morning for the first time in quite a while. It looked like heavy fog, but in no time, it was gone. The Lord gave us another dry day. Dark clouds hanging around this afternoon, as the pattern has been, but no rain as yet.
In the second church meeting, David finished up the section on the office of pastor that he started last week. After the meeting Daddy asked Eric if he would do all the Scripture reading each week. Tomas will have to do all the translating, and he and David can take turns leading music.
“23Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. 24And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.” Mark 9:23, 24
October 17. Another dry day. Thank you, Lord, for sunshine and for workers. A group went and carried bamboo today (that Antuma had cut), but they said there wasn’t much there. Some worked on the south half of the east wall. Others worked with Daddy, helping him get the kitchen cupboard together. Severah and Silvia cooked kaukau for the men today. I spent most of the day packing and organizing. I think most of the packing is done now, except for what will have to be done at the last minute.
“14But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God. 15Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein. 16And he took them up in his arms, put his hands upon them, and blessed them.” Mark 10:14-16
