April 26. Today was the last day of the special meetings. The Lord sent us a little bit of sunshine today, but mostly clouds and more rain. Daddy went up this morning to check out the airstrip and see if any damage had been done by the rain yesterday. Praise the Lord, everything seemed to be okay. So this afternoon, when Daddy called MAF, he was able to give them a good report.
After breakfast and quiet time this morning, I was able to get lesson plans done for phonics for this coming week. The meeting started quite late today as people were busy preparing food for the fellowship dinner. The school students and adults came around 9:30 or after and practiced a choir number -“Kaikai Bilong Spirit” (Fruit of the Spirit). There were quite a few people here again today, a good number from Marivo. Some of them stayed with Matthew last night. Lew preached today on “The Fruit of the Spirit,” Galatians 5:22,23. Some of the community school students even stopped in for the rest of the afternoon meeting after they got out of school.
I took a nap at the end of the morning meeting and another at the end of the afternoon meeting, after I had sat as long as I was able. In between meetings, I worked on math lesson plans and finished them this afternoon. Still have English and Science lessons to plan. This evening we have the generator on so I can do some scanning.
